It’s gotten dark.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 08/09/2022 21:50

It’s the Queen who has died not a HRH.

Ilovelindor · 08/09/2022 21:51

We have a King

Skinnermarink · 08/09/2022 21:53

My train home was cancelled, as the driver was stricken with grief. All the waiting rain-soaked commuters accepted this with a deep understanding, and stoically moved towards platform 12 to await the inevitability overcrowded 18:42 to Reigate.

Not really. Southern trains are just a shit show.

confessionstoday · 08/09/2022 21:54

QC has now become KC

BeggarsMeddle · 08/09/2022 21:55

Is the Google logo greyed out temoprarily?

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 08/09/2022 21:55

Posh people speak the King’s English

Lots of cover photos and profile pictures on facebook (possibly other SM too)

Hambledy · 08/09/2022 22:02
  1. We've got a king.
  1. We've hocked our economy to the energy companies including the company our now PM used to work for.
  1. It's raining.
Twawmyarse · 08/09/2022 22:05

Well, TK Maxx closed 30 mins earlier than they should've done "out of respect" and several friends/acquaintances who have never so much as mentioned the queen (unless stating the monarchy should be abolished) before have now expressed their deep grief and sadness and how they are going to really miss her..

FusionChefGeoff · 08/09/2022 22:08

Royal Mail and RMT have called off their strike action

CaptainBarbosa · 08/09/2022 22:12

Things will now be referred to as "His majesty's service" people now serve King and Country.

Money and stamps will be phased out as the introduction of those with King Charles III on them come in.

BloodyHellKen · 08/09/2022 22:20

When someone gets sent down it will be at his majesty's pleasure.

NCFT0922 · 08/09/2022 22:20

The entertainer toy store is closing tomorrow and on the day of the funeral.

NCFT0922 · 08/09/2022 22:20

@BloodyHellKen bloody hell, Ken. Good point!

FayeGovan · 08/09/2022 22:21

Bettyboo12 · 08/09/2022 22:24

Only what's newly printed/minted. George VI shillings and two-shillings were around till the early 1990s, doing duty as 5ps and 10ps until the sizes of those coins were reduced.

Thunderpunt · 08/09/2022 22:30

Trying to find a cooker on Curry's website is a nightmare because they have their tribute to the queen instead of the normal appliance categories

Thank god you remember that too. I was just saying it to friends and they all flatly denied it. Thought I was losing it.

Crunchymum · 08/09/2022 22:35

Have all the train strikes been called off completely or postponed?
