I’m in a nostalgic mood.
Probably like most 90s teens I loved the Body Shop back in the day and wish they’d bring back some of my favourites which were:

Cucumber cleanser- loved the scent so much, takes me right back to summer

Passion fruit cleanser- smelt gorgeous, had a really nice texture too

Fuzzy peach & Dewberry perfume- classic first perfumes!

Also does anyone miss those fruit shaped Soaps?

What products do you wish they’d bring back?

Milk bath powder which came in a drawstring bag. It made skin so soft!

GoodVibesHere · 06/09/2022 05:36

Marshmallow shower gel

I absolutely loved the powerful scent of Samarkand too. I was absolutely addicted to it and still I search for it. I've just ordered some Oud Attar perfume oils in the hope that one will even vaguely smell like Samarkand! Desperate times!! 🙂

The apple soap

And I loved white musk perfume

Perihelion · 12/10/2023 18:29

I used the Aloe Vera day cream for sensitive skin for years. Accepted the price increases as it was an amazing cream which didn'tbrritate my stupidity sensitive skin. It used to get fabulous reviews everywhere...and then this year they reformulated it to a inferior product that caused my skin to itch and go red.

anunlikelyseahorse · 12/10/2023 18:31

The moonflower range. Loved that scent!

SoapCollector · 12/10/2023 18:36

Protein cream rinse (for hair)
The original banana hair range
Honey water skin toner
Aloe Vera and the cocoa butter lotion
Pineapple face wash cream in a tub
Japanese washing grains
Of a woman perfume - very unusual, not smelt anything like it since!

Thornyrose7 · 12/10/2023 18:38

The little ‘Papier Poudre’ packets, (to wipe my oily teenage face with). I can still remember the smell of them.
Whoever mentioned White Grape toner, that unlocked a forgotten memory.

Thornyrose7 · 12/10/2023 18:38

‘Of a woman’ perfume.. yes! That was gorgeous.

Theredfoxfliesatmidnight · 12/10/2023 18:45

Papier Poudre
Gift sets in woven baskets
The oil burners and oils, my uni mates and I thought we were so sophisticated using these!
The £1 cotton Body Shop bags with the long strap

meatbaseddessert · 12/10/2023 18:52

Passionfruit cleaning gel.

They did bring back a classics range about 10 years ago and I bought a shit tonne of it. They discontinued again and I held on to the bottle with about a cm of the product in to sniff occasionally until it just went off.

The point is moot anyway as I wouldn't buy from that company even if they did bring it back.

Pink/brown lip liner!!!

(it was called pink/brown, not a particularly imaginative description of the colour but it was a great nude lip and lasted ages. I haven't found a decent lip product from them in the past decade.)

Shinyandnew1 · 12/10/2023 18:53

There was so much stuff I loved in there as teenager-shampoos, conditioner, fruit soaps, bath pearls, lip balm. It was absolutely rammed with people from school all Saturday as you could spend your pocket money there. It’s so bloody expensive in there and ours is nearly always empty; no idea who shops there now!? If you can afford to spend £20 on a face serum, you probably don’t want to shop there.

Butteredtoast55 · 12/10/2023 18:56

If they ever stop making ginger shampoo I'll go into mourning.

EmmaPaella · 12/10/2023 19:00

So many of these!

Especially Kiwi and Morello Cherry lip balm. And cucumber cleansing milk. Miss those so much.

Loved those gift baskets you could make up too.

ShipshapeShore · 12/10/2023 19:07

For those of us missing Ananya, I think the Neroli and Orchidee range from L'Occitaine smells a lot like it. Pricey but it's a nice treat from time to time.

CesareBorgia · 12/10/2023 19:09

I miss their old packaging - the simple green labels.

Vitriolinsanity · 12/10/2023 19:14

Vanilla body lotion

Roma perfume oil.
Japanese facial washing grains.
And they use to do a really nice non oily eye make up remover.

The Simple eye makeup remover is the closest one I have found.

TaraRhu · 12/10/2023 19:22

That box with animal soaps. Smellt so good!

SirVixofVixHall · 12/10/2023 19:22

A school friend used a Rhubarb root powder on her hair, I am pretty sure it was from the Body Shop at the very beginning. It was a bit like henna but somehow brightening, her hair went the most amazing gold colour.
I liked the Banana conditioner.
I miss the early products from Cosmetics to Go. There was a shampoo in a tube, maybe it had a mermaid on it ? It had seaweed in. The best smelling shampoo ever.

Oh the Papier Poudre was the best. 😍

I loved sniffing the glass bottles with the sticks in and deciding which scent to have!

Fuzzy peach and Ananya. I can remember when Ananya was new and a bit more sophisticated!

I also had a makeover in the body shop once, I think I was 15 and it was in Bournemouth and there was a boy band event (can't remember who?) in Top Shop or somewhere nearby that we went to after! Oh those were the days!

PatFussy · 12/10/2023 20:02

I used to like the kids range with the animals.

Imreallytiredandanxioustoday · 12/10/2023 21:23

I used to throw patchouli everywhere in my bedrooms. Stained all my white bedding and curtains but I loved the smell.

Like a stinky biker

samestyle · 12/10/2023 21:27

I still miss the Brazil nut conditioner, that was so good for me hair. The old style soaps, morello cherry and kiwi lip balms and Jojoba oil
