Mine is way higher. We’ve already used over 5000 this year.

Minikievs · 23/08/2022 23:32

1500 Elec
5700 Gas
Both are from Jan 22 to date

Yours sound very low!

Is your gas figure in cubic feet (the usual unit on the meter) or kWh (the unit one is usually charged for)?

Decafflatteplease · 23/08/2022 23:45

Average annual usage is 4000 electric and 22000 gas. Trying to get it down this year obviously!

99redballoonsgobyy · 23/08/2022 23:46

No idea, I could probably find out off my British gas account though, Actually I have just received my BG may-aug quarterly electric bill though and was quite surprised to see my bill was almost exactly the same as it was for may-august 2021 I haven't made any changes or been using any less electric so not noticed the price increase yet maybe it'll hit in October. grocery shopping prices are hitting hard though even sanitary products cheapest supermarket own brand have gone up by 15p per packet. Also Fruit and veg is now becoming a luxury due to the price.

bloodywhitecat · 23/08/2022 23:48

4000 ish electric, no gas. Would love to get the electric down more though.

NewBootsAndRanty · 23/08/2022 23:51

3300 gas
1300 electricity

TressiliansStone · 23/08/2022 23:52

Varies surprisingly between years, but typical annual figures:
Gas: 2400 kWh
Elec: 1820 kWh

Purpose-built flat, one person, in all day, wearing warm clothes/throws. But it's painful to achieve those figures and I don't recommend it unless you have to.

LBOCS2 · 23/08/2022 23:53

Electric - 4337kWh
Gas - 14,900kWh

I think I’m a bit off with the gas one… I’ll have another look.. its the reading so it’s in correct.

~2900 units (kWh) electricity I think. Maybe 12-400 litres oil

Freddiefox · 23/08/2022 23:57

i think my gas is 5922 kwh

TressiliansStone · 23/08/2022 23:57

I currently use 11.36 as the multiplier to get from the cubic ft reading to kWh of gas, but it does vary according to location and date. (I think it's calorific value.)

WhereYouLeftIt · 23/08/2022 23:58

Electricity 6,000kWh
Gas 22,000kWh

Bricking it.

TooManyPJs · 23/08/2022 23:58

A lot! Very big old drafty house with some single glazing.

About 4000 kWh electricity and about 20000 kWh gas.

NewBootsAndRanty · 23/08/2022 23:51

3300 gas
1300 electricity

1300 is that a whole year? Or from Jan?

Yes me too! I think by next April our bill is going to be getting on for £700 per month. Crazy!

Electricity: 5,089 kWh
Gas: 13,478 kWh

😳

A year. I live alone, and my cooking/heating/hot water is gas.

200 year old house (mid-terrace), so no cavity walls and not permitted to double-glaze it. Interlined curtains can only do so much :(

Can you use your chimneys? Burn some
logs? Save a bit of money?

Same here. Really draughty single glazed sash windows, no insulation in the loft either.

xyzandabc · 24/08/2022 00:10

5087 kWh electricity
