What’s the best thing that’s happened to you today?

Mine was I came home unexpectedly early to find my cleaner cleaning topless :). I already knew he was an excellent cleaner, a lovely man and a dog lover. And now I know a little bit more!

My best moment was putting my out of office on for the next 10 days. Mine sounds quite tame compared to yours 😁

I went to a charity shop to buy an emergency jumper for DS (we were a long way from home and he was cold), and found a brand new down jacket in his size for £2 🙌🏻

Dh came home early from work, threw out the bit of chicken pie and yesterday's mash I was going to have for tea and made pasta pesto. I'm really struggling with my disability and had covid 2 weeks ago which I'm really struggling to get over (though I'm now negative) and am beyond tired, but had to take dog to the vet today, so was up!

Making the tea made a huge difference. He also brought wine!

I needed an item quickly today but didn't want to pay for a brand new one due to it not being used often. I went on fb marketplace and someone was giving it away for free!

Mine was making a new random meal that turned out to be delicious!
Potato wedges piled with BBQ chicken & melted cheese - probably more suitable for colder weather but with a slimming world syn value of 1 it will become a new regular!

Feeling full & impressed with myself as usually I avoid cooking!

Attending spin class 5 months PP. was really dreading it and felt self conscious but so glad I went! Then coming home to my little family! Priceless xxx

I had a burata cheese on bruschetta

I walked through the park and heard the wind in the leaves and made myself focus on that for a while- it was so lovely.

Unexpectedly had a whole day at home by myself, my mental health feels drastically better, I needed that time to myself (and my house is clean!)

I was cleaning an appliance and managed to clean the whole kitchen, find something I had lost and it’s now sparkling!

I had lots of lovely dresses arrive from eBay.

My sense of taste started returning post covid earlier - but it seems to have disappeared again this evening 😢

My DS(16) cooked tonight. Tandoori marinated paneer with peppers and Bombay potatoes. It was delicious.

I had a delivery yesterday from ebay of what was supposed to be 2 items. Only one included in the box when I opened it and the most expensive item missing. Took a photo and sent a message yesterday and no reply. However, I sent it at 4.30 so I knew they might be closed.

I called them this morning as I was worried and they looked into it. Luckily they identified an issue with the packing and confirmed that it hadn't been sent. Made my day as I had no idea how I could do any more to prove it, if they insisted it had been sent.

I smiled at a stranger today, first time I've been able to smile without being embarrassed in 7 years! (Got my teeth fixed last week.) My confidence went sky high.

I made a lovely avocado caprese salad for dinner. It was 😋

Somebody I'd lost touch with got in touch with me via FB. Had a lovely catch up.

Heard my baby son’s heartbeat at my midwife appointment. I’m 28 weeks and I don’t think there is a lovelier sound than that 🥰

Got a surprise SMS from someone on old apologising for the silence for the last week. Thought I'd been ghosted. Was a nice surprise. Hisvolder sister has had a serious strike. Glad I'd not been blocked.😀

I sat in a cafe with a friend, having a coffee. It's years since I've been able to do that ( chronic pain condition that has recently had treatment that helped).

Fed some swans. Swans are never friendly, these ones were alright.
