Mine was I came home unexpectedly early to find my cleaner cleaning topless :). I already knew he was an excellent cleaner, a lovely man and a dog lover. And now I know a little bit more!

I won £25 on the Premium Bonds which is always nice. Also had a good friend been working with me (as my usual colleague is off sick) for the last two days which has been much better - as my friend is not only my friend but also excellent at the role.

DD got offered her dream job after a year of casual/short term contract work after graduating.
Very specific degree subject and she was beginning to think she would never get to use it- but she will now!
So lovely to see her on cloud nine.

Walking through town when I passed a man walking in opposite direction. As we passed he said " you look lovely " and carried on walking. Made my day.

I am under consultation for redundancy. I found out today an entire team I work with have gone to their senior management to ask what can be done to save me and my role. I am deeply touched as it's the most unexpected group of stakeholders

My toddler had a big nap - and the baby slept for most of it too. We actually managed to get something done for once!

My work set up a free, good quality coffee machine in our office 👍

I got my first grandchild

I went to a garden centre with my 2 DC and they drew lots of admiring glances. I felt proud

Really trying to think of a good thing as I have food poisoning and have been ill for days but probably when I was sick after having a few jelly babies it at least tasted ok on the way back up. 😫 Hoping tomorrow is better…

I achieved what I wanted to at work - something I’ve been struggling with for a few days - and it was well received

On holiday with DH, DM 91 and DD 18. We all did different things during the day, went out for dinner together, walked along the harbour and DM bought us all ice creams for pudding. DD then helped her Granny up the 73 steps to where we’re staying.

Oh, and DS phoned to reassure us he’s still alive and hasn’t burnt the house down yet…

Oh I’m sorry! I had the opposite- i have reflux and had a nasty pot noodle for tea, it tasted as bad on the way back up as it did on the way down! Jelly babies sound nicer!

@TheBestBitch oh that sounds grim! Can confirm jelly babies were delicious on both entry and exit 😉

I went on a lovely long morning walk down to the river Thames and listened to a great new podcast.

Kids school shoes were reduced to £30, which I thought was good, then when I got to the till they scanned as £12.90! Happy days.

Made the burnt aubergine chilli which we love ❤️

I'm looking after a dog for a month and after being a bit skittish for the first few days he fell asleep on me today. Even his stinky sleep snore breath in my face can't take away the feeling!

I cut right down a horrible thorny bush I’d had in the garden for years. Now it’s gone and I’m going to plant something lovely in its place

Ive not had to think about anyone else’s dinner this evening, what to make or to cook it.

I am not ashamed to say that I love time on my own.

Picking runner beans at half 8 in the evening, allotment to myself, rosy glow in the setting sky. Ah...
