What’s the best thing that’s happened to you today?

Mine was I came home unexpectedly early to find my cleaner cleaning topless :). I already knew he was an excellent cleaner, a lovely man and a dog lover. And now I know a little bit more!

I got to have a walk on the beach on my own for an hour.

I went to see a stand up comedian with a friend and had gin and tonic while watching. I haven't been out out for ages and it laughed loads.

Saw a hedgehog in the garden. At first I thought DCat was stalking his own reflection through the patio doors and then once I looked more closely there it was. Went out and put a little shelter, some water and much to DCats disgust some of his kitty food. It had disappeared when I went back out to check, but it probably thought my garden was rather boring cos apart from a fuck ton of weeds there's nothing else exciting in there. The garden opposite however is full of loads of little hidey places. Either that or seeing DCats goofy face gawking at it through the patio doors has made it scuttle off

Had a lovely blue dragonfly come in my bedroom and land on my bedside table.

ds15 shouted "are you ok mum?" when I screamed as a random cat shot out from the garage as I was locking up - I was so touched he cared!

And dd told me she loved me about 7 times. 🥰

Don’t know yet if this will be the best thing to happen today as is only 7.30am but just had an email from the energy company refunding me for payment on energy for me flat I moved out of recently. Has not kept track of the debits s as turbulent time at work so is like a lovely windfall!

Yesterday I realised how absolutely head over heels in love with DP I am whilst I was watching him look after his gran.

We've not actually said it to each other yet.

It's made more special given that my last few relationships were very emotionally abusive.

@Whatliesbeneath707 ha! We’ll sort of, but I think he’s just a kind person!

Last week he gave me some sea moss which he’s a big fan of, and he did come back a bit later that day because he’d forgotten his bag. I was chatting to ds and his friend in the kitchen so he joined us for about 20 mins.

Wednesday this week I told him I’d been using the sea moss on my face. He said that my skin was glowing - I said it wasn’t glowing, it was sweating! Don’t think I’ve got this flirting business right!

Yesterday he messaged asking how ds had done in his A levels. I replied saying he’d done really well, and he said that he’d make ds some jerk chicken and some Caribbean rum punch.

And tonight he dropped it round but I was out! I know it looks promising written down but I honestly think he’s just very friendly. (And scatty - he left his feather duster here on Wednesday, and that isn’t a euphemism!)
