Mine was I came home unexpectedly early to find my cleaner cleaning topless :). I already knew he was an excellent cleaner, a lovely man and a dog lover. And now I know a little bit more!

Went into the charity shop and found a brand new pair of beautiful Clark shoes in my daughters size for £2! School shoes sorted and what a saving

I genuinely thought my Neighbour would never make it out of hospital and today she came home I walked up to my place and there she was sitting in the garden
It's made me cry

@strawberryblue awww big moment. A moment I will never forget with DS. Well done baby!

LateMumma · 03/08/2022 20:34

Such a small thing, but the sun came out and Dh took Dc out for an hour and I got to sit in the sun with a glass of wine. Absolute magic

strawberryblue · 03/08/2022 20:35

Thank you @sittingonacornflake it was magical 🥰

SleepCheeseBeer · 03/08/2022 20:35

I had an unexpected hour free between finishing work and picking the kids up.
Got loads of tidying done. Put the clean washing away.

I was having a bit of a bad day, having faffed about so much getting the pram out the boot and my baby in it beside a main road that I completely forgot to get a parking ticket. Went to get my phone repaired and got some shopping in town. Boots gave me a silly paper bag filled with all my baby shampoo etc so as I could feel my bags cut off my wrist circulation while pushing the pram up the street, the bottom fell out of the paper bag and my stuff went everywhere. A nice man immediately ran to pick it all up for me. The guy in the phone repair shop could then see how much I was struggling to get my pram and all my shopping (now bursting out of one bag) up the step into his shop to collect my phone so he ended up giving me a screen protector for free. I then brisk walked back to the car in a slightly better mood, fully expecting to see a ticket and there wasn’t one 😅 having the harassed mum look really gets you places in life haha

I won £150 of vouchers and got to choose where I wanted them for and in what denominations. It was lovely choosing and I have a £50 voucher for my mum's favourite shop, £50 M&S for me to treat myself to something new for my holiday, and £50 amazon for an as yet undecided family treat.

Summerhasbeenandgone · 03/08/2022 20:39

Went shopping and finally got some well needed supplies..

starlingsintheslipstream · 03/08/2022 20:44

Lovely thread of those little things that make you smile Smile. I had a great afternoon with dd on a gin tour. We walked back to the holiday cottage thinking if there was a spare seat outside the pub we would phone Dh and get him to join us and there was! So we've spent another couple of hours drinking, chatting, generally having fun.

Nichebitch · 03/08/2022 20:50

My 4y old DD was discharged from hospital after 2 awful weeks

squashyhat · 03/08/2022 20:50

I went for a long ride on my lovely electric bike, zooming up the hills and stopping half-way at a garden centre for lunch and to pick up a free pair of gardening gloves (loyalty scheme reward).

MammaWeasel · 03/08/2022 20:52

Lovely thread!

Not today, but very late last night I was out walking with dh in the twilight and we stood and watched two roe deer in the next field. Magical!

DogsAndGin · 03/08/2022 20:52

Haha that’s hilarious OP!

We had a private scan to see baby (21 weeks). They surprised us by showing us a 4D scan so we got to see her little face 🥰 really special and the scanner lady was lovely. Wonderful experience

I had my first job interview in 9 years after being a stay at home mum, it went really well and the job sounds perfect. Fingers crossed x

SenecaFallsRedux · 03/08/2022 21:06

We're on vacation in the US. We were out and about exploring the area and got hungry. We stopped at a small restaurant, knowing nothing about it and had one of the best lunches we have had anywhere. Charming decor and affordable prices as well.

JangolinaPitt · 03/08/2022 21:32

Best thread!!!! Thanks OP! Mine not as exciting as others but loved that the men in the bike shop could have just charged me for a new wheel but they knew I needed the bike today and fixed it for a fraction of the cost. And then gave me a bell as mine is not working. Just lovely.

Itwasgoodwhileitlasted · 03/08/2022 21:33

Frazzled day so ran a hot bath for first time in AGES.

Single portion/ mini wine in freezer about to be opened and the dog wants to cuddle. Feeling very full of love for both DC - they are good kids.

Simonjt · 03/08/2022 21:35

I work a three day week so the weekend started at 5pm 😁

KathieFerrars · 03/08/2022 21:37

I got three years worth of filing done and threw loads of old paperwork away. Feeling very good about that.

fluffyducky21 · 03/08/2022 21:42

My 7 week old grandchild smiled for the first time.

crisplovingmummy · 03/08/2022 21:46

Built a trampoline 😎

BendingSpoons · 03/08/2022 21:46

I bought a pair of shorts 4 years ago. I was pregnant, so they didn't fit, but I really liked them so I kept them. Today I did them up for the first time!
