To be honest there’s a few pretentious items there. If the bin liners are vegan, I’d guess at £280

darisdet · 24/07/2022 21:03

It is @Wouldloveanother

I wouldn't dare put my list on. Last week included soda stream syrup (for DC) and ready made pasta sauce (I've been lectured about the evils of that before!)

lljkk · 24/07/2022 21:12

My guess on first lot was £118. Well done you, OP.

I think some ppl missed the OP’s point. It was quite a vague post but there seemed to be a lot of sniping criticism about their food choices. God knows what you’d think of mine. I also love Aldi. I live alone so eat eclectically.

I wouldn't dare publish my shopping list on here, I'd be lambasted to buggery 😂😄, so I'm not going to criticise other people's choices.
However as I live alone I eat what I want. 😎

Helgahobby · 24/07/2022 21:13

Just let me know the total, too much of my life has evaporated before my very phone!😀

tootiredtoocare · 24/07/2022 21:22

Depends where from. If one of the big 4 supermarkets, £200 ish. If Lidl/Aldi, £130 ish

Cissy1962 · 24/07/2022 21:37

It really depends on where you bought your shopping from... there'd be a huge difference in price between Aldi and Waitrose. I don't understand why you're asking the question, if I'm honest.

The answer has already been given and discussed but what I cant work out is posts like yours

Its clearly a chatty thread, about shopping costs and people can be interested (I was) in how much it cost the OP. Its a conversation, do you never have conversations like 'guess how much I got these shoes for'?

Merlo · 24/07/2022 21:52

No judgement at all here for your shopping goods, I am, however, massively judging you for going to a supermarket twice over a sunny weekend 😂 😂

Re..re...ready made pasta sauce? 😱 <faints>

Lingoflaming · 24/07/2022 22:02

£180

Would it be ok if it was Lloyd Grossman? feels a bit decadent that stuff

takeitandleaveit · 24/07/2022 22:10

Would it be ok if it was Lloyd Grossman?

I won a jar of his pasta sauce on a tombola stall once. Five tickets for £1 and that's what I get. I was robbed, I tell you, robbed.

Wouldloveanother · 24/07/2022 22:13

I like his pasta sauces! Just to give away the fact we’re working class we call them the ‘posh jar stuff’ 😆

Twilight7777 · 24/07/2022 22:25

£250. Was probably half that before price rises

llizzie · 24/07/2022 22:32

I would guess that they were all from a food bank, and probably distributed free.

Daisymaybe60 · 24/07/2022 22:33

takeitandleaveit · 24/07/2022 20:47

Sure is - can't believe I'm top of 'trending' two days running and all I've done is go to the supermarket. Twice.

Fear not, Band of Chums, I am NOT going shopping tomorrow. At all.

Oh, and it was £3.77 in Morrisons today.

Well I’m claiming that, with my £3.90 guess. Surely you could have popped over to Provence and picked your own herbes though.

NewCatName · 24/07/2022 22:39

Lloyd Grossman is the worst. You do know it's 99% sugar? 😆

Newpuppymummy · 24/07/2022 22:44

£152

Blacksheepcat · 24/07/2022 22:50

No way of telling…which shop is it? Morrisons or Waitrose? Own brand or branded products? If it was my shop buying all the bargains and the cheapest own brands, I’d say it was £120 or so……
Some things on there are so unnecessary if you’re worried about spending though…
Like … napkins???

Doris86 · 24/07/2022 22:57

SunflowerGardens · 23/07/2022 11:39

Can't believe you sat and typed that all out btw

Me neither. Typing out your whole shopping list to create a not particularly exciting Mumsnet thread? Some people obviously have nothing better to do.

thejall · 24/07/2022 22:57

and yet your reading it! 😆

Zatapec · 24/07/2022 23:00

£94...Aldi
£114....Asda
£120.... Sainsbury's
😁

54isanopendoor · 24/07/2022 23:08

It's Aldi.
It's £86. 49
