Here is the old thread... let's keep on top of what's going on!

I thought not born so am confused by the PP...

Tegelflughafen · 14/07/2022 18:25

I think bravermanns and badenochs votes will mainly go to truss. She’s the brexiteers brexiteer, more brevity than Sunak even though he voted leave and she was a remainer ! Not sure about tugendhats ? Possibly to rishi… so a tussle between rishi and truss.

tobee · 14/07/2022 18:27

More stuff that was not Boris Johnson's fault. Who knew?

apple.news/Ahr26NiP2QSWbUIG8O6y8kg

Unbelievable.

Blossomtoes · 14/07/2022 18:29

Brexiteers don’t trust Truss, they say she’s a remainer at heart. The fact that she has Rees Mogg and Dorries’ support is a distinct handicap among the more sane members of the parliamentary party.

Roussette · 14/07/2022 18:36

tobee That article Shock
OF COURSE there were far more parties than had been revealed. And of course Johnson knew about them and attended them. This bare minimum in the SG report kept the lid on the rest. An apology meant 'phew we've got away with the rest'

On Mordaunt... she was also a big fan of Trump.

Ruour that Mordaunt will appoint Andrea Leadsom as Chancellor! (Andrew Marr, LBC). Tobias Ellwood says he's supporting PM.

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/07/2022 18:38

RUmour, ffs!

Unbelievable.

It can't possibly be Boris' fault that there was a misogynistic atmosphere in Downing Street. Raab spoke very clearly on the subject stating that misogyny against men and women is bad.

Did you know Keir had a beer?

Roussette · 14/07/2022 18:57

On Andrea Jenkyns giving the middle finger to the public on her way in to No.10 and who is now in charge of Universities and HE. I wrote to the Standards Commissioner... not the reply I would like but at least it's a reply (quite refreshing for me, given my MP doesn't acknowledge or reply to emails)

Thank you for your email. The Commissioner’s remit allows her to investigate an MP’s adherence to the Rules of Conduct found in paragraphs 11-18, part V of the Code of Conduct.
The Commissioner is aware of the matter that you have raised and does not consider this incident to be a breach of the rules. However, even if she is unable to investigate this in no way means the Commissioner agrees with, or condones such actions by Members of Parliament.

The punchline is brilliant 🤩

Failure to respond to messages, letters and emails is what did for our last Tory MP. It became increasingly obvious - through SM - that she wasn't responding to anyone.

Rumours swirling. Who's doing the stirring?

Cummings?

itsgettingweird · 14/07/2022 19:30

My sick note was just a standard 6 week one. So actually takes me 2 weeks into summer holidays.

But I'm going to go back next week for the last 4 days of term! Then have another 6 weeks off Grin

Right on the money

DuncinToffee · 14/07/2022 20:01

Braverman is backing Truss

DuncinToffee · 14/07/2022 20:01

Braverman is backing Truss

Of course she is, that’s obvious. So there was no need for all the coy protestations that she hadn’t decided on PM this afternoon.

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/07/2022 20:06

Badenoche being interviewed on LBC. She is frighteningly good.

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/07/2022 20:09

Chilling self confidence. Not a scintilla of humility.
Listeners in droves calling in to acclaim her.

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/07/2022 20:12

BBC1 Question Time tonight

Fiona Bruce presents the topical debate from Torquay. Her panellists are former Conservative Party Vice Chair for Youth Bim Afolami MP, Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Standards and Privileges Chris Bryant MP, President of the National Farmers' Union of England and Wales Minette Batters, Joint General Secretary of the National Education Union Mary Bousted and Assistant Comment Editor at the Daily Telegraph Olivia Utley

Roussette · 14/07/2022 20:15

Thank you BOW.

QT frustrates me greatly but with Chris Bryant on there, I shall make an exception tonight!

Olivia Utley is niece of Telegraph journo Tom Utley. Talent or nepotism? Who knows?

Bigly Plaice-matting
