Actually Johnson didn't travel entirely alone to Lebedev's place -

In a brief entry of ministerial interests on the Foreign Office website, Johnson declared he had an “overnight stay” with Lebedev on 28 April, travelling “accompanied by a spouse, family member or friend”.
Johnson did not give any further details of where he had been, who he was with or the reason for the visit – reportedly his fourth to Lebedev’s Italian home in recent years.

Maybe the young friend had some kind of military training and therefore there was no need for security detail. We know he's always been keen to keep costs down.

I'm wondering if it's because we (that age group) lived through Thatcher - the Poll Tax, the detruction of manufacturing etc.

I thought the idea behind the debates was to go on the different channels for different types of audiences?
Plus it's easy to diss the left wing press , but it's not them who are on tv having a go at each other or saying they haven't any trust left in their own government is it? Or saying they wouldn't give the current PM a job ? Or them in meetings admitting to breaking the ministerial codes or that they want change after 12 years a slave to the current policies a lot of them don't seem to like much. Or resigning because of all the lies.
If this was a Labour Party in charge the right wing press would be all over it too I'm sure

You've got a fucking cheek, I've already linked the Liaison Committee footage of him admitting he was on his own (no officials or security with him) at the Lebedev palazzo with both Lebedev Snr, and Jr. (maybe with a female). Then he said he'd reported this visit. He hadn't. He lied. So just jog on with your gossip crap.
