Nanny, rather than hairdresser? Or is the latter, child no 13?

I really hope that nose operation was a vasectomy

Imagine the temptation for any surgeon allowed close proximity to Johnson's genitals whilst holding a scalpel ...

DuncinToffee · 02/07/2022 12:59

As long as they don't mistake it for a bottle of red wine.

DowningStreetParty · 02/07/2022 13:38

I’m really confused. Sharing a bottle of wine. A euphemism I haven’t heard of for a blowjob?
And why would stories be pulled from The Times over two people having a grubby affair, while his wife is fighting cancer…. having a glass of wine together in an office?

Peregrina · 02/07/2022 14:06

Private Eye used to refer to them as Ugandan relationships, after a couple were supposedly not in flagrante

I'm I the only one who read this and thought for a second "what Bill Cash?" Grin

When is a new hospital a new hospital?

www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/jul/02/boris-johnson-faces-investigation-into-claims-over-40-new-hospitals

itsgettingweird · 02/07/2022 20:46

A guidance document, distributed to trusts and entitled New Hospital Programme Communications Playbook, said a “new hospital” could be “a major new clinical building on an existing site or a new wing of an existing hospital, provided it contains a whole clinical service, such as maternity or children’s services; or a major refurbishment and alteration of all but building frame or main structure, delivering a significant extension to useful life which includes major or visible changes to the external structure”. Staff were told that all the schemes “must always be referred to as a new hospital”.

This sums up their whole political agenda.

It's all about the optics and sticking to the script.

We can see through it when during PMQs they'll start to answer, stop and pause, then repeat one of their known phrases.

balalake · 02/07/2022 20:49

I think the new hospital claim was shown to be misleading a long time ago.

Cornettoninja · 02/07/2022 21:32

balalake · 02/07/2022 20:49

I think the new hospital claim was shown to be misleading a long time ago.

I also think they changed the definition of ‘new’ to suit their agenda.

I don’t know for certain if it links in, but if there’s ever grounds to investigate whether he’s intentionally mislead parliament (where he’s always very careful with what he says even if that means giving an answer to a question no one asked so he can get a soundbite out for the media) then this kind of investigation could prove to be a foundation.

I wouldn’t hold my breath though.

Morning all! Wonderful day had by all, a colourful, full on, Asian wedding marriage ceremony with my Covid DD able to attend from a distance. Her LFT showed it waning yesterday morning, and there was an ideal place her and her DP could stand, masked up, outside the marquee safely distancing from everyone, so she could see it all and feel part of it. They ate outside the marquee and to be honest, her pics were a damn sight better than mine, because of where she was stood! A fab day had by all, and I will admit to shedding a tear when my beautfiul DD2 and her now husband were driven off!

A Western wedding will now follow once they have moved house, probably not till next year, I'm hoping Covid won't feature for that!

Now for the subject in hand.... is the Pincher situation pinching and does this sum it up....

^The allegations stretch back more than a decade.
Mr Pincher - who represents Tamworth in Staffordshire - says he is seeking professional medical support and has no intention of resigning as an MP.^

Isn't it hilariously awful when you have MPs scrapping about whose sleazy behaviour was the worst... Parish is pissed off he had to resign because his tractor porn wasn't as bad as a drunken groping... Shock

Zonder · 03/07/2022 08:11

Sounds like the best it could be then @Roussette
What's this about the Mail possibly turning? That's our best hope, I think. Then some staunch BloJo lovers might finally change their minds.

itsgettingweird · 03/07/2022 08:29

Awwww rousette that's made my hearing how your dd could be involved too. Sounds like a lovely wedding.

MediocreHRPerson · 03/07/2022 09:00

Lovely to hear about the wedding Rousette.

It sounds like Boris and his cronies new about his inappropriate behaviour and thought it was fine. No surprises there.

DuncinToffee · 03/07/2022 09:03

Lovely to hear Roussette

Cummings has tweeted

If Boris didn't know about allegations against Chris Pincher as he is claiming, then why did he repeatedly refer to him in Number 10 as 'Pincher by name, Pincher by nature' long before appointing him?

Boris is lying again, but even the Daily Mail is struggling to spin the story

(usimg the dom translator tweet instead of the original one)

vera99 · 03/07/2022 09:04

The thing about the spreadsheet is that it has never been denied that it is the work of one Sir Gavin Williamson when he was Chief Whip and no-one has been sued for publishing it and its all over the Internet. You can almost hear the delight of Sir Gavin as he types the word fornication into his creepy head prefects snitch sheet. You will be voting with the government Liz won't you great glad to hear it. With the understanding that rebellion might cause family difficulties and or stories in the press. They don't call them whips for nothing.

Roussette · 03/07/2022 09:08

BJ has denied it hasn't he? Which obviously means it's true, they did know

Surely Pincher can't hang on, he's a serial sexual predator? Let's have a bi-election the same day as Somerset/Frome. And let's have a repeat of Wakefield/Tiv.

vera99 · 03/07/2022 09:14

Kwasi Kwarteng is popular with female tory cabinet ministers it would seem. The spreadsheet must also have had creepy little snitches rushing with the latest gossip to the whips office to curry favour and hope for some sort of advancement up the slipper pole of ambition.

DowningStreetParty · 03/07/2022 09:15

Sorry to spam because I posted this on the Blowjobs at Work thread but it’s also relevant here, hope that’s OK:

Six new claims of inappropriate behaviour by former Conservative deputy chief whip Chris Pincher MP have emerged, days after he was suspended from the party for allegedly groping two men. The allegations stretch back more than a decade.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-62025612

The people of Tamworth deserve so much more than this. How is any constituent going to feel confident or safe to bring their issues to the MP when they know he has form for sexually motivated behaviour at work? Pincher says he has no intention of resigning as an MP! What? He’s simply sitting as an Independent while they investigate this latest case..

BBC report one of the MPs contacted Downing Street in February with details of what he said had happened to him and voiced his concerns that Mr Pincher might be made a party whip, in charge of the discipline and welfare of other MPs. BBC also report:Mr Pincher previously stood down from the whips' office in 2017, when he was accused of making an unwanted pass at former Olympic rower and Conservative activist Alex Story. But after an investigation by the party, he was cleared of any breach of its code of conduct.’

DowningStreetParty · 03/07/2022 09:17

As a normal voting member of the public who is sick of Tory entitlement and corruption, I would suggest

  1. Downing St cannot possibly deny hearing of this stuff previously, and expect us to believe them. Even just the one reported instance this week is plenty to sack him: It doesn’t make it better if he was blind drunk or not at the time of allegedly groping two men. Being drunk is not a legal or moral defence to harming others, They’ve rightly removed the whip from Pincher (so he’s not in the Party) and he had this week resigned as Deputy Chief Whip so was not in charge of MP’s welfare and discipline any more. Good. But why’s it ok got him to stay as an MP?

If MPs don’t deserve to have a person like Pincher in charge of their welfare, why should his constituents?! What about constituents’ welfare, how can they trust their MP to act on that? And what about security and corruption risks this guy is creating- by having an MP with secrets, MPs become easily blackmail- able. It’s not acceptable risk.

This is the exact same problem as with Blojo. Behaviour of people with power and responsibilities over others must be responsible, they must be far above doing anything illegal or immoral that they’ve can be blackmailed over. Is that really so difficult for people to do?

  1. Why was this guy with his questioned history given such important responsibility in the first place?

  2. The Conservative Party must clean up their own act urgently as a source of party discipline. They should very urgently work with sexual harassment, bullying, sexual assault and rape charities to review their Code of Conduct. They need to be seen to actively try to stop abuse in political sector and to actively try to weed out people who are reported to them for acting abusively.
