Has anyone heard of tattlelife, or am I out of touch? It was mentioned on the radio today, so I had to take a look.
Wow! What a negative site, I could not believe the viciousness of the posters on there. Some of the vloggers, intagrammers I am aware of and don't particularly like, so I don't follow them, so don't understand the effort these people put into criticism and spitefullness.
I most definitely won't be going down that rabbit hole again, made me feel dirty.

I enjoy Tattle, I see it like gossiping about Mrs Jones at number 9.

it’s only mumsnet I see the bitchiness.

Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious · 09/05/2022 19:04

Parents of terminally Ill kids have been snubbed when funds requested to help their child.... it absolutely does need to be kept going and in the public eye when so many of us donated unwittingly

I agree. It needs to continue to be out there so soon he and her are investigated. The companies finances should be looked into. If it is not a proper charity then it should be dissolved and people made aware their donations are to fund his lifestyle.

I suspect people are coming over from Tattle to stick the boot in 🙄

CornishGem1975 · 09/05/2022 19:42

Love Tattle. It's great coffee break entertainment. Some of the threads I think are a bit harsh and verge on crossing a line, but others I think are very much deserved.

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 09/05/2022 19:50

I hate Tattle. I found their threads on Kate Lawler and they are vitriolic about a woman who was / is honest about not taking to motherhood, about PND and the strain having a baby has put on her relationship. They slate her appearance, ridicule her sister and deride her abilities as a mother. Awful.

What 'boot'? Where?

CuriousCatfish · 09/05/2022 21:10

I've just read the unpopular opinions thread over there. Sums up the sort of people who post on that site.

jolietomate · 09/05/2022 21:11

I found Tattle I think from a post here. It was interesting to find an abundance of threads about a journalist, writer turned influencer who wasn’t so honest after all. I had stopped reading their writing years ago because I found them to be disingenuous to say the least, they are also a dreadful bully to boot, snippy and rude to followers, yet seemed oblivious to the latter two things. It was incredibly validating to find I was not alone in these observations realisations, and the threads were illuminating because they were well-reasoned and evidenced-based - everything was backed up. The posters on the thread aren’t nasty at all, yes, they’re a little bitchy but everything they write about is true, and I think this is why the person they write about it so angry about it because they can’t shut Tattle down.

If you’re going to put yourself in the public eye, you should expect to be scrutinised. The bottom line is if you don’t want to read things about yourself that you might not like, don’t read them. Stay away.

Pawtriarchal · 09/05/2022 21:31

I think mumsnet had a bit of tattle style posting long before Tattle existed. Cherry Menlove, anyone?

MrsKippling · 09/05/2022 22:30

I just tried to create an account and it wouldn't work so tried again, commented on two off topic posts and have been banned for spam in less than 10 minutes 😂. Bizzare as the posts I'd commented on were what are you cooking tonight, I said what I was cooking and another about a TV show I'm currently watching😅. My Tattle experience is over which is a shame as I had enjoyed reading over some of the discussions. Some of it can be very brutal though.

LetsGoCrazyPurpleBanana · 09/05/2022 23:12

Love tattle. Learnt alot reading there such as why there was the sudden urgency for a TV presenter to come out.

Not much different from mumsnet
either way - good for a scan over a coffee break and skim over the particularly nasty ones

thebabynanny · 10/05/2022 16:03

What amazed me is how much some people can hate someone like Stacey Solomon, and will viciously slag off everything about her, her chavvy house, her ugly children etc etc. And yet somehow see themselves as the good guys "exposing" her 😂

Please.

Now that poor Deborah James has posted to say that she is out of treatment options and that basically she doesn't have long left at all, all those who spent the last few months mercilessly slagging her off are now apparently 'heartbroken' and 'will really miss her' Hmm

And the pack have now moved onto a different Stage 4 cancer patient who is a safe enough length of time from her ultimate demise that they can relentlessly lay into her for a good while now.

But it's Mumset that's bitchy?

I know. Like, fair enough if you think stuff is not being declared, people are being dishonest or even just twats then go ahead with your 'exposing'. But some of the really personal comments on Tattle (and I've never read the Stacey Solomon threads) are just absolutely disgusting and uncalled for.

Also, don't these people have lives? For example the Part Time Working Mummy threads - the level of detail on those threads! They must literally spend their whole days on Instagram taking notes, screenshots, Excel spreadsheets! She is definitely not my cup of tea and I don't know why she puts so much of her and her kids life online (you can pretty much pinpoint her house from what she has put on Instagram), but the obsession from these people is just bizarre!

Kinneddar · 10/05/2022 17:02

Her house is easily found on Google maps & also seeing it there highlights a massive safeguarding/security issue she seems to ignore. I read the threads on her & it totally changed my opinion of her - she's a total fraud & liar. However the level of detail on some posts is mind boggling, I couldn't bring myself to care enough to get so involved.

Madeintowerhamlets · 10/05/2022 17:20

I agree the level of detail some posters gather is really mind boggling. It does start to stray in to stalker territory & become quite unhinged. Even if the information is easily accessible it’s still a bit obsessive. The thread on here about Deborah James didn’t sit well with me & neither does the tattle one. There is definitely an element of some posters rejoicing in her condition worsening & having to bow out of social media. Though not all are like that of course. I don’t personally think everyone is fair game for that kind of level of criticism.

PansyPetunia · 11/05/2022 11:30

Mumsnet is probably worse

The nasty threads here are so bad they are deleted

I mean, how many a day are deleted here for 'not being in the spirit'

Not called a nest of vipers for nothing...

I think you proved yourself wrong, as the key point here is they are deleted. And they are deleted fast. On tattle life it’s all there is. Those threads.

PansyPetunia · 11/05/2022 19:49

What were you trying to say? You didn't finish?

But the threads can be long running and stay up a while and in that time many people read them.... then there's the many TAAT that come after it.... and people don't forget

Mumsnet also is likely to reach many more people with much more traffic than tattle...

So not proved myself wrong at all

I'm suprised this thread has stated
I've never seen a thread about Tattle, or actually celebrities stay, and I've been here 15 years.
