What is your best sensation in your body when something gets better

I just used a nose spray as I was so bunged up. That crackly feeling all up my tubes was just lovely and now I can breathe again.

Also having a poo when you have been desperate is one of the best feelings too 😊

Getting a blood transfusion.

Oh, that was so lush. Fresh cold blood pumped in to my body when it clearly needed it. It was like being born and coming alive.

Painkilling drops in the eye after a corneal abrasion. Like dropping into heaven.

Oh yes - I had this once, and it was so so painful. The anaesthetic drops worked immediately.

I have the opposite. I yawn constantly and every time I yawn, my eyes water which makes my nose run so then I look like my face is melting and then my eyes itch so they water more and-

Repeat ad nauseam.

Oh I have this too, all or nothing it seems. A good yawn makes me look bereaved.

A few years ago I had such an evil bout of flu. Dh and me caught same time. We both thought we could die at any moment (no exaggeration) Anyway a week after the symptoms subsided somewhat that I got my appetite back and also the ability to eat, my mum bought us a roast round and I'll never forget the feeling I had from my toes up of my body finally beginning to heal. It was so weird. Apart from that I love the tickle sensation when I put ear drops in and especially if it makes that fizzing noise 🤣

Shoes off, bra off, horizontal. I'm just so tired all the time.

Better yet, shoes off, bra off, freshly made hotel bed. A freshly made bed at home doesn't quite have the same magic.

When really intense period cramps subside!

Oh this aswell! Pain was horrific, nothing touched it. Used to have hot baths in the early hours and plenty of pain relief. That lovely feeling when you're suddenly all dozy and the pain has subsided. Absolute bliss. The coil was my lifeline in the end x

Having the back of my knees tickled/stroked. I make DH do it all the time, it's heaven.

I love this too but being scratched there, in fact I love being scratched anywhere except my stomach.
I often get dh to scratch me all over and it's blissful especially behind my knees, around my ankle bone and my armpits.

I had pyelonephritis and after a few days struggling at home ended up being admitted for IV antibiotics, antiemetics, and fluid. I was really dehydrated and after I'd been on the drip for a while I felt like I'd been reborn

polarbearoverthere · 05/05/2022 23:16

I recently had cold and then covid. I had this incredible experience after most of my symptoms had finished of blowing my nose and my nose feeling brand new afterwards. Like all the mucus from my nose and sinuses was cleared it was as clean as it could be. I’ve honestly never had an experience like it and it was amazing.

When you have been in the bath and you're a bit like a raisin and you can rub the dry skin off your feet

Yamyam13 · 05/05/2022 23:17

Taking off jeans & bra and getting into trackies.

Wetting my hair (I only wash it once a week)

MrOllivander · 05/05/2022 23:17

When you have a cast on and get it taken off. Using a body scrub on the dry skin. Orgasmic Grin

Yamyam13 · 05/05/2022 23:21

Also, When ovulation pain subsides. Sweet relief for me, worse than period cramps.

Rainraingoaway21 · 05/05/2022 23:28

My feet being tickled. Both have to be done for the same amount of time though otherwise it feels wrong.

I have been known to pay the kids to do this

This! I can feel it building up all day until the pressure gets too much and the burst as it starts to fade away.

Running roasting hot water over my numb Raynaud's hands ♥️

Yes, Good call. I have this too. But I'd rather not have the freezing in the first place.

Cheeseandlobster · 05/05/2022 23:45

Wow this thread has really taken off. Loads of good examples here. Especially loving the ear related ones

Taking off painful shoes after a night out or a long walk.

Removing a splinter.

Scratching flakes off my scalp.

Quenching my thirst.

Holding something cold against my temples/inner wrists/neck on a very hot day.

Entering a building with decent air con on a very hot day.

Entering a warm building after being freezing cold.

Removing tight clothing.

Running roasting hot water over my numb Raynaud's hands ♥️

Guaranteed chilblains! Adding another (very annoying, itchy and painful) problem for me!

Popsicle33 · 05/05/2022 23:57

Getting a chin hair out! When you can feel it with the tip of your finger and can't wait to get at it. I love it when it's a corse bastard and you can feel the pop as it's plucked out!

I've had a sickness bug the last few days and have finally eaten something and am feeling confident I won't see it again 😃

wondabar · 06/05/2022 00:24

Having a bath after my foot/leg was in a cast for four months. Absolute bliss (and a lot of dead skin Smile

I have quite a pale and inobvious mole on my cheek. It started I think in my late teens as a very annoying spot. It turned into this mole and for many years it used to sprout a single hair so thick you could have wired a plug with it. I HATED the hairs and used to dig them out with tweezers the second they were visible. It was painful, but the most satisfying type of pain imaginable (better than an orgasm) as the hair came out. I don't get those hairs any more after digging so deep I managed to drag out the entire hair follicle with the hair but I kinda miss them! Blush

chubbachub · 06/05/2022 00:42

Removing your bra at the end of the day. And rubbing/scratching anywhere that its been digging in

mnnewbie111 · 06/05/2022 05:48

Surely is squeezing a baby out of you after pushing for a lifetime?
