I just used a nose spray as I was so bunged up. That crackly feeling all up my tubes was just lovely and now I can breathe again.

Also having a poo when you have been desperate is one of the best feelings too 😊

When you have a vomiting bug and you feel horrendously nauseous and are then sick, you temporarily feel amazing. Then the nausea starts building all over again.

When you’re desperate for a wee and you finally get to go and it sends chills up your spine, affectionately known as a “shiver piss” in this household. Also, when constipated and you finally do a big poo that thuds into the loo and makes you feel about 2kg lighter, known as a “thudder”.

When a stuck burp finally breaks free.

bellabride · 05/05/2022 21:22

I once had scabies (HCP), and scratching the itching they caused was delicious.
I miss them.

Taking shoes and socks off and getting all the sock fluff out from between your toes, after a busy day with lots of walking.

ScottChegg · 05/05/2022 21:22

When the dry heaving finally stopped when I had vestibular neuritis. Never felt so sick, for so long. 😞

3 weeks ago I had a poo after 5 days. I had tried everything and eventually after advice from here I managed it. God I felt good afterwards. I wanted to tell strangers in the streets about it! (I didn't). I had a baby 7 weeks ago and feel like I had more of a thrill from doing the poo!

This really made me laugh, would have loved to have seen the reactions of you had told anyone.

NeedMyRootsDone87 · 05/05/2022 21:25

When I haven't shaved my legs for a few weeks through the winter then when I finally do, I get straight into clean bedding, swishing my legs around like two baby dolphins playing in a silky sea.
Also, when you've wore a dental brace for almost two years then finally get it removed for good 🙌

These are difficult to beat. I remember the first time I tried oxymetazoline/xylometazoline (the decongestant that actually works). Orgasm-level pleasure.

Not sure anything beats peeling the cradle cap off my babies' heads though. Can't wait for grandchildren.

When your cold and wet after being in the sea and you dry off and put on dry clothes

ThorFull · 05/05/2022 21:29

When I was in labour and got into the birth pool. I’d felt like a beached whale for weeks, struggling to move around, and now obviously in pain and exhausted from 48 hours of slow early labour. The relief of stepping into that big hot bath and feeling weightless and supported was absolute bliss.

AProperStinging · 05/05/2022 21:29

A really good calf and/or hamstring stretch when you've walked for miles. Also inner thigh stretch (when you put the soles of your feet together and push).

Removing a big, hard, crusty bogey.

Tweezing a hair out of your chin.

When I finally free the celery from between the two teeth it always, without fail, gets stuck in.

emaline83 · 05/05/2022 21:31

The almost orgasmic relief of running eczema covered hands under a too hot, almost scalding tap. When you get the temp just right the relief is incredible and lasts for ages. Terrible for skin but sometimes when I can't sleep for the itch and pain, it's the best thing ever.

Diversion · 05/05/2022 21:34

After 36 hours of back ache labour, baby was back to back and they decided to do an emergency C section. The relief when they finally managed to insert the spinal block was amazing.

excelledyourself · 05/05/2022 21:34

And when I put my scalding hot water bottle on my achy lower back. Doesn't take the pain away completely, but it's a different and better pain Grin

And when my massage lady massages those same sore bits on my back.

Llamasally · 05/05/2022 21:34

bursting the spot and extracting am I growing hair….ooooh it’s just the best, especially if the hair has gone all spiralling and curly inside and you stretch it out when you pull it with the tweezers. Also as per PP BFing clearing a blocked duct and anything earwax

Ooh, yes. I was just thinking my spinal block, though I only had 21 hours of back ache and they managed to get her out with forceps... but the relief was incredible!

DahliaMacNamara · 05/05/2022 21:36

Waking up at night with sudden agonising, swear-inducing calf cramps. Not the cramps, obviously, but the amazing relief after you've massaged them away. Beautiful.

I can't believe no one has mentioned yawning yet! That feeling when you are desperate to yawn but can't quite manage it, it doesn't go deep enough, and then suddenly it clicks and you have a wonderful deep, satisfying yawn!

Typing this has made me want to yawn and I cant

I hadn't yawned all evening... until I read this Grin

D0lphine · 05/05/2022 21:40

Orgasm surely?

Thejoyfulstar · 05/05/2022 21:40

Epidural! The utter relief!

ClassyCupcake2020 · 05/05/2022 21:41

when that epidural hits
a poo when youve been holding it in for ages
that cold glass of water in the middle of the night after a few wines
