And so the madness continues! Here's our 9th thread to discuss, boast and rant about the game that is more pointless than Pointless, needs Masterminds to solve and will make Eggheads of us all, what with the amount of hair-pulling it induces!

@InMySpareTime that phrase gave me 990 straight off so quite a big clue (it’s fine, I read for clues, but maybe a bit early?)

I solved Semantle #76 in 72 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 2.71. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #9. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 67.71 (998/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

I can see how the words relate but you're not really only the right track.

Look at 246 to get you to the right sort of area the target word is talking about. What setting is this word usually associated with? I can DM if that's not helpful enough!

This is my 3rd day in a row I've managed it quickly. Not looking forward to tomorrows now, surely this streak must end 😅

Had a good green reasonably early on, so I think I could have got it much earlier of I had my brain in gear!
I solved Semantle #76 in 58 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 1.43. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #7. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 17.79. semantle.novalis.org/

Massive thanks for clues HaloEaster Smile can't believe how different the answer was from the route those higher words I had were taking me - I stumbled upon 974 and that took me there

That was quite straightforward, for a change! Once you're in the area it should be fine!

I'd got 994 and 995 from the clue for spudlet despite not having 978!

930 threw me a bit, because I got that about guess 28 and I stuck on the obvious theme.

Now I’ve solved it, I see the connection but 930 I felt was a bit specific
