And so the madness continues! Here's our 9th thread to discuss, boast and rant about the game that is more pointless than Pointless, needs Masterminds to solve and will make Eggheads of us all, what with the amount of hair-pulling it induces!

I solved Semantle #76 in 119 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 4.87. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #18. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 15.18. semantle.novalis.org/

Went round various rabbit-holes then a clue on here took me straight there.

I solved Semantle #76 in 406 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 16.47. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #18. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 4.20. semantle.novalis.org/

Thank you everyone who helped with hints, it took all of those, my actual paper thesaurus and some heckling/assistance from DH to get there today Grin

I was on far too specific a route - stuck on things to do with 910 and 963 type things.

Got a green really early, but still struggled to get there! Logical progression though.

I don't think this has happened to me before; it apparently was both a good guess and a perplexing one! (And no, I've still not got the actual word.)

I feel like everything I have is a synonym and not finding the right track.

Pretty much all same area of language too, ie other word forms really low which is confusing.

I think today this is a word that works in lots of contexts- many of which will be green so if you’re stuck branch out a bit!
