And so the madness continues! Here's our 9th thread to discuss, boast and rant about the game that is more pointless than Pointless, needs Masterminds to solve and will make Eggheads of us all, what with the amount of hair-pulling it induces!

@drspouse you're heading in the right direction, it's a pretentious word used for 964. Think about the people.

Wasted a lot of guesses by trying to get more specific after getting 981 and ended up getting lower greens. Tried more general and got it!

I solved Semantle #75 in 29 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 0.45. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #11. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 47.87 (995/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

Took me quite a while to hit green but got it quickly once I did.

I solved Semantle #75 in 42 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 5.61. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #37. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 11.86. semantle.novalis.org/

Likewise not quick to get greens and then a bit too specific but not too bad

981 is in the right ballpark but it's unspecific, not a type of 981

I enjoyed that one, satisfying amount of thinking but not enough to drive me to the thesaurus.

I solved Semantle #75 in 57 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 5.69. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #20. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 34.97 (949/1000).

Bit weird today. Got onto a track quite quickly (for me). Then got stuck.
Then just sat idling and tried what turned out to be the word.

I thought I was still quite far away, so I made an excited little squeak on the train when the little purple winners box popped up!!

I was diverted for ages by 642, but found it as soon as I started looking more broadly.

Took me far too long to get a decent green but fairly straightforward from there, only a small amount of brainpower needed!

I'm getting worse at this. Constantly taking me ages to hit a green.

I spent a bit of time exhausting a mid level green route, then randomly got 999. It’s my lowest number of guesses in a while.
