And so the madness continues! Here's our 9th thread to discuss, boast and rant about the game that is more pointless than Pointless, needs Masterminds to solve and will make Eggheads of us all, what with the amount of hair-pulling it induces!

So tired, I just put this in the wrong thread, have reported.
Early one for me today due to illness and teething toddler. I had lots of greens quite quickly and got too specific as usual but nice to see a rational pattern again.
Now I need to try to get some sleep!

Erm, I can't quite believe this happened Blush Somehow I hit 999 on my first guess - I assumed then it could go one of three ways for the answer and picked the right one first. I can't see that ever happening again!!

To lower the daily average...

I solved Semantle #75 in 135 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 14.81. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #35. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 11.64. semantle.novalis.org/

I had 995 at guess 95 but couldn't see the answer. All my other high greens were so similar to each other... (990,989,985,983, 981,979, 973... the list goes on) so answer a bit of a surprise.

Used a word I heard on the news to get 983 then it was a matter of working out the context.

I was impressed with myself until I came in this thread.

When I look at the top 1,000 list - American is really a whole other language isn’t it. And I suppose using google news rather than more official written documents show up how much the language has evolved.

I got a little bit sidetracked by a high cold, but it was straight forward once I’d hit a green.

I think I hate it even more when I do it before I’ve got out of bed.
