And so the madness continues! Here's our 9th thread to discuss, boast and rant about the game that is more pointless than Pointless, needs Masterminds to solve and will make Eggheads of us all, what with the amount of hair-pulling it induces!

Again, feel like it should have come quicker...

I solved Semantle #74 in 90 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 3.23. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #45. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 4.69. semantle.novalis.org/

It's a word I'd associate with football.

Faster today. Bit of a fluke, admittedly.

It would be quite hard to jump to the target from 820, although there is a relationship. The highest 820 might have it.

Got there via 768 which was guess no 3. Only took another 40 after that.

Finally got a green after 102 guesses and 33 guesses later I'm stuck on the 990s. I am not enjoying this...

I work in a school and this is a word I use a lot. I don't work in PE or have anything to do with sport though x

Phew! I really thought I was going to have to resort to hints or googling synonyms, but I got there in the end, I feel very satisfied!

I find the frustrating ones so much more satisfying though! I like to feel I've really earned it 😁

SOOOO many greens today, but feel like the target word is only related to those high greens in one very specific sense of the word - whereas there are other ways it can be used. Although I guess it makes sense that this would be a common usage in media/ press articles on which the game is based.

Just looking at the nearest words, 924 seems so random!
Ive seen/ heard it used in this specific context in the media - if you think of the 924 story sometimes that is applied to people/ groups who achieve the If it’s felt they share similarities with 924.

I don’t know if that makes sense Grin
