And so the madness continues! Here's our 9th thread to discuss, boast and rant about the game that is more pointless than Pointless, needs Masterminds to solve and will make Eggheads of us all, what with the amount of hair-pulling it induces!

I solved Semantle #73 in 82 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 1.45. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #35. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 64.10 (997/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

I solved Semantle #73 in 150 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 27.95. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #50. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 44.49 (809/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

No clues or thesaurus today so I'm pleased with myself -and showing off- 😆

After 5 weeks of playing I've only just realised that the numbers get redder the closer they are to the target word Observant to the last 🙄

Having looked at the top words, I am rather pleased with myself for getting it at all, given that almost every top word was connected in one way, and the few I had were connected in a different one!

Cross would be overstating it as I did enjoy myself, but I am querying why I didn't use one of my common starter words which would have scored in the low 900s and probably got me there extremely quickly! I got distracted by some of my cold words away from it.

Pretty pleased with that! Although given my first guess it should, I suppose have been lower. Much less clues/thesaurus work going on than normal too!

Too bloody obvious by the time I'd wasted the other 99 guesses! But thankfully got there a bit quicker than yesterday.

Ugh! Took me much longer than it should’ve.

A couple of different 'interesting' ways to get to the final word. I'm still not sure why 820 would be such a high green.

Today I have 647 and 767 so far. They do seem related but in all directions from them seem to be non-green words.

Well that was unexpected! I have a 'type' of words that I normally start with, today I randomly chose something totally different for my 12th and it was 908. Didn't take too much brain power from there 😂

I went along the wrong direction when I first got into the greens (more along the 951 route). Lots of guesses but no help this time so that’s something!
