And so the madness continues! Here's our 9th thread to discuss, boast and rant about the game that is more pointless than Pointless, needs Masterminds to solve and will make Eggheads of us all, what with the amount of hair-pulling it induces!

I solved Semantle #72 in 147 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 5.15. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #17. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 20.03. semantle.novalis.org/

I solved Semantle #72 in 31 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 6.64. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #5. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 39.77 (967/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

31 guesses, but more importantly, less than five minutes.

A lucky start I think.

I solved Semantle #72 in 107 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 3.70. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #8. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 4.30. semantle.novalis.org/

Not too shabby. Like others, got a pretty early green. I resisted the thesaurus for longer than was sensible! Not that obscure a word I’d have said - unusual maybe but not weird.

That one took me 48 - I went through a lot of different 522s!

I solved Semantle #72 in 187 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 1.14. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #18. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 32.62 (823/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

Please can I get a clue? I have 968, 956, 940, 933, 930 etc. Any use? Can't seem to get any further
