And so the madness continues! Here's our 9th thread to discuss, boast and rant about the game that is more pointless than Pointless, needs Masterminds to solve and will make Eggheads of us all, what with the amount of hair-pulling it induces!

I was feeling a bit embarrassed that I had to Google synonyms, now feel a bit better having seen that so many others have too!

I solved Semantle #72 in 110 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 2.84. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #9. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 25.03. semantle.novalis.org/

@ClarasZoo that's a weird one, but an American synonym.

Those aren't very helpful, difficult to give hints from there. Do you have any lower greens?

Not particularly, but if you start thinking about what you might do in order to be able to do those things to someone else then you might get onto the right lines

I was expecting a much more uncommon word from the hints here. Got it in 101 after rolling around in a blind alley for a bit. This game is so frustrating yet so addictive!

I had to resort to an online thesaurus today, so frustrating. Have to say though that my newfound 'bang in any word that occurs to me' method does seem to yield more greens than the methodical approach I used before.

Grrr I went down the 938/931 route and it was getting me nowhere, had to resort to Reddit cheating hints. I don't get how they are connected to the word in any way, shape or form 🤦‍♀️
