What really disappoints you???

Light hearted thread....

What really disappoints me is having a beautiful watermelon sitting waiting to be eaten only to finally cut it open and it's tastes of nothing! No juice/no flavour, and it was definitely ripe, been sat ripening for a week.

My reflection today. Put on some loud, cool music & started the cleaning, sunshine pouring in - felt amazing and was gyrating sexily, so happy, until I was stopped in my tracks by the sight of an old woman having a seizure in my window. Not gonna lie, it brought my mood down a bit.

Hot chocolate - sounds wonderful especially on a cold day but if you buy even an expensive one out it always seems to be weak or grainy or has a taste of artificial sweetener. Even trying different varieties at home I have yet to find one that delivers the rich smooth deliciousness that the words "hot chocolate" conjure up in my mind. ( All suggestions gratefully received)

I'm going to add potatoes to the naughty step of disappointment. I love potatoes but who do you need to know to get the good ones?! These days they always seem to be flavourless and/or rotten in the middle.

When you choose a watermelon, make sure you can fit two fingers between the "stripes".

If you can, it will be phenomenal.

Seeing my friends new dog after 2years as it was new to her them and looking forward to making a big fuss of it.

Buy organic ones. They seem to actually taste of potato. Same with tomatoes.

That's so stingy!

When a take-away forgets a small part of your order, like onion rings or veggie samosa. When it's such a small part it feels petty to complain and get them to re-deliver, but the side orders are often the best bit.

Instant coffees that promise to taste like proper coffee. They never, ever do.

Or coffee that tastes utterly burnt/bitter and quite honestly, not drinkable. That is so disappointing.

When you are really enjoying a nice cup of tea, you go to take another mouthful and realise you already finished it. If you go and make another one it will never be as nice!

Other people's disappointment breaks my heart inexplicably. It's ridiculous. If my partner orders a meal and it's not good I just suffer. Pointless waste is sympathy!

I thought I was the only one to notice the satsuma/watermelon abominations! Glad it's actually a thing for others too 🤣 I'm always disappointed when I've spent all day cleaning and someone spoils the Tea/Coffee/Sugar pots, not leaving them in a straight line, words to the front and the handles facing the correct way like how they found them... Wth is wrong with people 😭 also disappointed every time I see a damn poop bag casually hanging in a tree... Especially when others have joined in and they look like shitty, colourful Christmas tree decorations 😅

Tried to make sourdough bread. Followed instructions to the t, it took days, and it tasted like lead bread. It looked like a dehydrated turtle and could be used as a weapon or door stop.
