What really disappoints you???

Light hearted thread....

What really disappoints me is having a beautiful watermelon sitting waiting to be eaten only to finally cut it open and it's tastes of nothing! No juice/no flavour, and it was definitely ripe, been sat ripening for a week.

Nando’s - every couple of years DH and I try it because it seems so popular and are always so disappointed because it’s so expensive for something we could easily replicate at home! We always think we have remembered with wrong but we never have 😂

When the the baby sleeps in but the toddler wakes up early!

New Year’s Eve.

Definitely adding to the cries of bloody sodding MacDonald's.

I had DDs (13 and 17) and eldest DDs friend here last Saturday. Treated us to Maccys for lunch. I was waiting on a bacon double cheeseburger , small fries and a Coke Zero. JFC was i looking forward to that ice cold Coke Zero.
Guess whos entire order was missed and they couldn't do another delivery.

I ended up with a slice of toast and a glass of water.

Sex with the various men I have dated since my ex - my ex was a total tosser other than in the sack but every other man has been crap albeit that they rated themselves and seemed uninterested in hearing what I might like which I don't think is too unusual!

Iamblossom · 02/04/2022 19:40

Wicked the musical. So disappointing.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 02/04/2022 19:41

I loved Wicked

autienotnaughty · 02/04/2022 19:41

When I buy something and it's not as good as expected. My shark vacuum cleaner for one 😩

Iamblossom · 02/04/2022 19:42

Nope. Utter tripe. Soz.

Mindthegap653 · 02/04/2022 19:42

@Iamblossom

Wicked the musical. So disappointing.
I'm with you on wicked. I had no bastard clue what was going on.
Iamblossom · 02/04/2022 19:44

😂😂😂😂😂. Right??

SirChenjins · 02/04/2022 19:46

I will tell you what really disappoints me - weak toilet flushes and cisterns which take aaaaagggggeeesssssssssssssssssss to refill. Three flushes it took me to flush after a wee at work (avert your gaze now if you’re of a sensitive disposition - the joys of peri menopausal periods, it’s like something has died a gruesome death down there), I was in there for what felt like hours. Other toilet users must have wondered what the hell I was doing.

Christmas1988 · 02/04/2022 19:47

Chinese takeout, always a disappointment! Why do they taste different in restaurants to takeouts?

tiddlywinks2 · 02/04/2022 19:52

When I was pregnant, it was McDonald's ice cream machine being broken.. All the bloody time! I had HG and it was all I could eat! Cried in McDonald's many times. Still disappoints me now!

Thejoyfulstar · 02/04/2022 19:53

When you think that you've met a mum friend who is totally on your level, a nice normal person. Then you discover they don't bother putting their kids in carseats. I've lived abroad in various countries and this has been oh-so-common where I've lived. So disappointing.

CaliforniaDrumming · 02/04/2022 19:59

The way good TV serials invariably deteriorate by S 2 or 3.
Killing Eve
Billions
The Marvellous Mrs Maisel....

Itslookinglikeabeautifulday · 02/04/2022 19:59

Mushy apples. Can't stand them. So disappointing when it looks like a really crisp, juicy one.

Mindthegap653 · 02/04/2022 20:01

Biting into what you think is a ripe nectarine but it's actually as unripe as fuck.
Biting into a furry peach.
Lukewarm and unsalted Mcdonalds chips that you've got via the drive thru then it's too much effort to go back and complain.

livyaz · 02/04/2022 20:03

Has no one mentioned the weather?
Last week it was glorious, I was planting in the garden, sunglasses in the car, washing on the line....
this week I was back in my big coat and making stew for dinner

Bebabelouba · 02/04/2022 20:06

Competitions.
Prior to the age of about 9 I truly believed that I would win any competition that I entered. Or at the very least come runner up. The confusion, then sense of disappointment that I felt when my art work/ design wasn't showcased on the telly, on Blue Peter or whatever was immense.
I now still have a level of disappointment when I don't win a competition (ever) even though I'm several decades older Grin

Agree with the disappointment of fruit, even in season can be an expensive lottery.

Bigbouncingbaby · 02/04/2022 20:07

Most Meals out .

The Tourist & the new Peaky Blinders .

Paying £3 for a coffee that’s luke warm . Ungrateful children when you take them out .

When you hang your washing out it’s nearly dry then it rains 🙈

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 02/04/2022 20:08

@SomethingNastyInTheBallPool

Undercooked aubergine.

A tangerine that looks plump and luscious until you undress it, revealing a stringy, wizened fossil.

Sorry you think I look like that. Sad I think the lighting in that singles bar is rather dim... Would you prefer me to get dressed now? 🍊
cobblers123 · 02/04/2022 20:14

No longer buying Roses or Quality Street at Christmas for about two decades because they are so appallingly shite!!

I long for the days of proper chocolate, lovely centres and in a big tin not a plastic pot!!Angry

lljkk · 02/04/2022 20:17

Mangos that have gone bad. What a waste of a glorious fruit.

LeavesOnTrees · 02/04/2022 20:17

McDonald's ice cream machine being broken.

There's a documentary on this. Their machines are a con and there is a huge lawsuit in the USA.
