Turn your papers over, you have two hours...

QuebecBagnet · 09/03/2022 10:55

I saw the sun rise this morning.

I do think already things from 2018/19 seem so incredibly long ago and belong to a different era. No pandemic or war.

toastfiend · 09/03/2022 10:56

I had terrible flashbacks to A-Level exam essay questions then...

Given that we're not at school - if you'd like a discussion, OP, then why don't you kick it off? What makes you think that that's the case?

MrsPear · 09/03/2022 10:57

Blimey op - I had flash back to finals.

I was thinking the same but then I thought maybe it’s because I’m getting older.

Me too. should have a trigger warning in the title.

Its a new dawn, its a new day, and I'm feeling good.

HotChoc10 · 09/03/2022 10:58

There was war in 2018/19, just not in Europe.

@Sparklingbrook Grin I've got that slightly clammy, gripping my pen a bit too hard, don't think I've done enough revision feeling!

Do we need to become new age hippies? 🤔

Me too, and that invigilator needs to wear quieter shoes. Angry

When the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars

WhiteXmas21 · 09/03/2022 11:04

New age? Or death throes of the old order? Discuss…

AnneLovesGilbert · 09/03/2022 11:05

You discuss Hmm

powershowerforanhour · 09/03/2022 11:06

"Do we need to become new age hippies? 🤔"

It depends whether you want to wax your toity or leave it au naturel. That's the salient question for the new age I feel.

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 09/03/2022 11:06

In order to fully understand the question, it is necessary to define terms. Oh fuck, I'm never gonna waffle this one for two sides of A4.

What is 'witnessing'? Some people think it is seeing, like when something happens and you are there and you manage to film it with your iPhone. I don't know and I don't care.

'The dawn of a new age' usually refers to beginning of a new way of doing things, like work and politics and stuff. I wonder if Marty has remembered to nick that vodka off his mum for tonight?

So when things change, like what is happening now in the papers, it can be referred to The Dawn of a New Age. I hate GCSE Citizenship.

Therefore this has been an interesting discussion and it is proved that it is the Dawn of a New Age. That'll do.

‘Can I go to the toilet please?’

Sparklingbrook · 09/03/2022 11:07

I think this exam would have been better in multiple guess choice form.

Zilla1 · 09/03/2022 11:13

When the moon is in the seventh house.....

turkeyboots · 09/03/2022 11:14

The dawning of the age of Aquarius.

theotherfossilsister · 09/03/2022 11:16

Yeah it seems like we're leaving behind a more innocent time but that could just be nostalgia illusion.

Mamamia7962 · 09/03/2022 11:17

Is this guess the film? I'm sure this or something similar was said in The Lion King.

HairyToity · 09/03/2022 11:18

Today, I turned my heating off (except for 1.5 hours in the morning), and I thought - is this a new way of life. Minimal heating from now on.... Is a 110 mile round journey to enjoy a day on the beach, ever going to happen again. Will we use less fossil fuels and gas out of necessity. Are we all going to be much poorer from now on.
