How come Putin is so untouchable but Saddam and Gadaffi were not? Genuine question, if anybody can shed any light.

Because as somebody upthread correctly said Saddam and Gadaffi were “on the run”. In both instances they were captured after their armed forces had collapsed and they had pretty much zero protection.

Putin is holed up several hundred plus kilometers from the front, surrounded by no doubt plenty of personnel protection (and also defended by the worlds longest desk).

There’s rumours he may have been involved in the Russian apartment bombings in 1999. A way of getting into power and keeping a strong grip on the country. Really hope it’s not true.

@CallyfromBlakes7 It's widely thought that Putin is unwell, possibly very seriously. His face has changed a lot in the last few years and apparently has a look of someone taking strong steroids.

It’s been rumoured for a few years he has advanced cancer and Parkinson’s disease it’s not verified tho.

He is reported to be terminally ill. He certainly has a greying complexion but this might be due to isolating himself during covid. BBC Frank Gardner says he's terrified of getting covid (please someone cough near him!)

Similar to the media drivel given by the gulf nations whilst they were being invaded. The western media is presenting this image of the Ukrainian military which is just not true.
Kyiv will be in Russian control shortly, Putin is not losing or bogged down, he'd only sent in a small percentage of these troops. There are now multiple strategic cities under attack and completely surrounded.

It's quite obvious the Russian military is attacking civilian targets and he's using the blunt tool of the multiple launch rocket system.

People need to find better sources.
