What a repulsive man John Barrowman is

John Barrowman, indecent exposer extraordinaire has been on tv this morning talking about how it’s not sexual harassment to lob your knob out in front of your colleagues and everyone had a great time and thought it was hilarious whilst he was doing it.

How tone deaf can one man be. Even given it was over ten years ago, has it really ever been ok to behave in that way, anywhere, let alone in a workplace.

I’d love to hear from the women who were present when this was happening. I believe he actually put his penis on the shoulder of one woman. The man should have been arrested but no, he’s on tv talking about how painful it’s been for him, for this to have been brought to the attention of the public.

Who was he talking to and what was their response?

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 22/02/2022 16:57

He is being a complete idiot.
I loved his character in Dr Who/Torchwood. I hope to never see him revive it as he has shown complete disregard for women and men.

Redbullgivesyouwings · 22/02/2022 16:58

I find it extraordinary his American accent is completely fake.

Blossomtoes · 22/02/2022 17:01

She should have turned her head and bitten it.

VioletLemon · 22/02/2022 17:02

Cannot stand the creepy AF mysoginist dickhead.
Interested to know what the reaction would have been if he was doing this to men.

He certainly would not be on screen again. Women as per are supposed to grin and humour him. If he wasn't a gay man trading on camp "fun" he would be in jail. Imagine the reaction if Jeremy Clarkson went around doing this to women.

It's says everything about Barrowman, I happen to know he is a creepy weirdo. Can't believe he was on telly!! This Morning by any chance?

SNUG2022 · 22/02/2022 17:03

His American accent is fake??

KylieCharlene · 22/02/2022 17:05

First time I ever saw him on TV he gave me the shivers.
Very sinister vibe.
I couldn't understand how other people thought he was fabulous.

HermioneWeasley · 22/02/2022 17:06

He is creepy AF and no decent production company would ever use him again

Tequilabeliever · 22/02/2022 17:06

@DetailMouse

Who was he talking to and what was their response?
He was talking to Richard Madeley this morning, talking about how unfair it all was to him. Richard said a lot of people in the country would have thought his career would be over and here he was talking about new projects. Barrowman said the public understood it was a joke, tomfoolery and not sexual harassment. He said everyone there laughed at the silliness of it and had a great time. The footage I saw didn’t show Richard’s reaction.

His American accent is fake??
One interview he’s American and the next he’s Scottish.

It’s the ‘I’m gay it’s ok’ thing. No it’s fucking not. No woman wants a penis in their face whether it’s a gay penis or not. I was watching a comedy show from quite a few years ago but Louis spence the gay dancer guy ran over and felt the female comedian all up and down her body including her bum. You could see she wasn’t happy but he squealed ‘I’m gay so it’s ok’ as if that somehow makes it ok to assault someone and touch them without consent. Urgh.
I love Doctor who and torchwood but must admit if he doesn’t realise what he’s done wrong then he can get to fuck.

EatSleepReplete · 22/02/2022 17:07

Sickos like this are one reason why I tend to keep my fingernails long.

DetailMouse · 22/02/2022 17:07

I was interested whether the response was all supportive or one of outrage.

AuntMasha · 22/02/2022 17:08

In what godforsaken universe is getting your horrible old cock out and using it to touch women not sexual harassment?

ButterflyBitch · 22/02/2022 17:09

I think he sounds Scottish when he talks to someone Scottish. I knew someone like this in real life. Sounded completely English until he spoke to his mum and then it was the broadest Scottish accent ever. Sounded really odd.

Wheresmycider · 22/02/2022 17:10

He was born in Scotland to Scottish parents but raised in America, so can switch between accents. Not faking exactly but confusing if you didn't know.

Cassop · 22/02/2022 17:11

He's exposed himself for absolutely years in his various roles and boasted about it lots. He's a total creep.

OutsideVoice · 22/02/2022 17:12

Vile man.
I’m sure everyone found it hilarious in the way where women feel obliged to laugh along or they can’t take a joke, or they’re frigid.
Like waitresses in the 70s and 80s were expected to put up with being grabbed and groped.
Ugh. Men.

MrsTerryPratchett · 22/02/2022 17:16

Flashing isn't about sex it's about power. So his sexuality is irrelevant.

I can't stand men mansplaining how women should feel about sex offending. I don't care how John feels. I care about how the women do (and men when they're victims).

VioletLemon · 22/02/2022 17:16

Commonly known as "Lulu syndrome" in Scotland.
His Scottish accent is contrived. Think he was a teen when moved to Canada. He reinvented himself some years ago, adopting Tom Cruises facial expressions and had some work done on his look.

Unfortunately this made him worse.

AndAsIfByMagic · 22/02/2022 17:16

It was over and done with years ago. Most people on set thought it was a laugh but 2 people didn't. They complained, rightly.
He apologised to them and the behaviour stopped.

He had tremendous public support last year when it was all dug up again. You don't like him? Others do.

He has a right to make a living. I hate cancel culture that allows for no mistakes. People need to accept that others are human and do daft things.

The Victorian age beckons.

CoopsMalloops · 22/02/2022 17:16

If it was in an office situation would he have been arrested for breaking the law?
Indecent exposure? Sexual assault? Isn’t it basically what it is?

And yes, always turned my stomach when I saw him, creepy.

sockportal · 22/02/2022 17:19

The only famous person I met who has said, "Don't you know who I am?" So rude! I've said this before in another thread about him and was jumped on by loads of people telling me that I was wrong, that he was some kind of saint!

Motnight · 22/02/2022 17:19

The Victorian Age beckons?! How about the age when a man in power doesn't feel that he should get his penis out??

DetailMouse · 22/02/2022 17:20

He doesn't accept they were "mistakes". He still thinks it's funny.
