I am in shock but I’m not sure if I have just lost touch with reality. We live in a three bed terrace which is 60s build in zone 6 London. We have three windows at the front and three windows at the back plus sliding doors (one fixed panel and one door) - max 2m wide.

The window cleaner wants to charge £22.

Is that right?

I pay £6 in Manchester.
£10 if I'm feeling lazy and ask him to do the inside windows as well

H1978 · 31/01/2022 19:19

£8.00 for 10 windows and two doors in Yorkshire.

Oblomov22 · 31/01/2022 19:19

Eh? Why are you even asking? Of course it's reasonable.

frazzledfragglefromfragglerock · 31/01/2022 19:23

SE 3 storey house 10 windows plus front door and patio doors abd we pay £20. They only use the brush on a hose thing which annoys me as I don't think it's worth £20 but I can't find anyone who would do it properly on a 3 storey 🤷🏻‍♀️

lemonyfox · 31/01/2022 19:24

Fuckinell it's only £6 per clean for us in the North West 😂😂 3 bed townhouse!

onedayoranother · 31/01/2022 19:30

Gosh. I used to pay £40 for a large detached house (17 large windows, three sets of glazed french doors).
I think £22 is fine - he's got to get there, as well as the time to do it.

SunshineOnARainyDay · 31/01/2022 19:30

£5.50 here every four weeks (end terrace with 10 windows). He does a great job too, with a ladder and bucket etc not a brush attached to hose. Am in NW. shocked at some of these prices!

SparksAndShiningDragons · 31/01/2022 19:31

£20 for a 3 storey 4 bed house, London suburbs

Alwayswaiting · 31/01/2022 19:34

South London, zone 5, 3 bed semi, 5 windows plus patio doors - £20. Sounds about right to me

deadrave · 31/01/2022 19:34

Wow I would say high, but compared to others in he same area sounds normal.… I pay £6 in the midlands area

AmazingBouncingFerret · 31/01/2022 19:35

12 windows plus french doors. £15 a month plus the odd cup of coffee and a biscuit if I’m in. He uses ladders and does it properly though.

zebrarobot · 31/01/2022 19:40

We are £4 a fortnight for our 3 bed house.

Snowiscold · 31/01/2022 19:42

Honestly. I think 22 is so cheap. I wish I could get a quote anywhere near that. I’d be biting their hand off.

zen1 · 31/01/2022 19:44

I think that’s expensive. I live in the same zone and have the same amount of windows and pay £10.

beepbeep · 31/01/2022 19:47

£45 for 4 bed detached here (Oxfordshire) Sad

fufulina · 31/01/2022 19:49

Omg! I think that’s so cheap! I’m too embarrassed to say what we pay…
