In the Netflix programme, VG says that GM asked her to be a surrogate for her and JE. So I'd be surprised if GM was ever actually pregnant.

I would hardly call the Maxwells 'icons' of the '80s!
I called them that because the '80s were all about greed, excess and self indulgence. There was acorn and disdain for the vulnerable. The Maxwells literally embodied the '80s. Thankfully their time has passed. The pity is it has taken threw more decades for the reckoning.

Those pictures... well, bearing in mind there's a picture of Ghislaine (with Kevin Spacey) sat on thrones in Buckingham Palace, JE and GM went to parties at Windsor Castle, and they both holidayed at Sandringham... nothing would surprise me.

I'm no great Royalist but how yuk to think they were staying in the Queen's private bolthole.... two sex traffickers of minors. Andrew has a lot to answer for.

Was just about to post the link from the DM as well, despite loathing giving them traffic. They are the only place making semi-regular updates and actually published the real photos that are only described in The Guardian & co. Any one of those pictures could be headline news but there really seems to be media blackout, even on the DM you have to scroll very far down to find the daily updates

The rumours of photos of a nude, pregnant Ghislaine puts another disturbing slant on the whole story. If visibly pregnant then she must have been at least 6-7 months? Was there a tragic outcome or actually a secret child? What role did JE play in the whole thing considering he wasn't the fatherly type at all (to put it very fucking mildly).

Yes on all the pictures she's mostly looking at him and he's just smirking into the distance or at the camera. He looks evil and apparently there's very little know about his background or source of wealth. All his doors were opened by Ghislaine and the weight of her family name.

I don't think there is a media blackout, it's more that ths trial isn't front page news.

I don't know if there's more coverage in US papers.

Lack of interest was my original theory but that was in the early days when there wasn't anything to report but witness statements. However with all these photos coming to light you'd imagine it's perfect visual material for the papers. Some other oddities I noticed include:

  • The Guardian article is short, poorly written, hard-to-follow and ends extremely abruptly. This is literally the final sentence: "They spoke in French for several moments. Later, Maxwell’s sister Isabel separately approached her sibling, and they also conversed in French". It's like they're attempting to do the absolute minimum of reporting the case without being accused of not reporting the case.
  • The FB comments under the Guardian article are not showing automatically. This usually happens with spam comments or tagged usernames when you have the Most Relevant filter selected. However many of the comments are perfectly normal but require extra clicks to see them.
  • This thread isn't trending in MN even though it's been significantly active over the past few days. I've been on MN a lot this week and never saw it on trending even though the original Epstein thread (2019) was always on trending. I was idly wondering if there were updates to the case and was amazed people have been replying a lot to this.

Jessica Reed Kraus has been posting videos from outside the courthouse showing the media barrier and in every video there has been 4-5 reporters max. I thought with big court cases there was normally tonnes of media outside.

This isn't trending for the same reason it's not getting huge coverage in all the papers - there is other stuff going on!
