Is there a thread anywhere regarding the ghislaine maxwell trial? I've searched and can't find one anywhere

@WaltzingBetty !! Me and one of my DDs are following Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos too! I don't know anyone else who is... !
We're both up to date on it and just waiting for the next episode to drop!
(Do you find EH as annoying as I do?!)

Sorry to divert from the subject matter!

I am as well, Rousette and WaltzingBetty. I've been following the Theranos story for a few years now and I'm still gobsmacked by it. And yes, EH drives me mad with her ridiculous voice! I can't believe the sheer brass neck of her defence.

As for Maxwell.....just look at her background and upbringing. I'm not remotely surprised at where she is today. Though I am repelled and disgusted.

It's looking pretty damming for her so far, with witnesses saying she was in the room, etc when under age girls were being abused. I assume her only defence is going to be to disparage their characters and call them all a bunch of liars?

No problem at all Rousette. The court has made accesing the full trial very difficult this time. The pre trial motions at least had a public access phone number to listen in, which some streamers used to rebroadcast live (very naughty!).

As to why there seems to be a lot of silence regarding the trial? Epstein and Maxwell had a lot dirt on very powerful people. His black book read like a who's who of movers and shakers...... www.gawker.com/here-is-pedophile-billionaire-jeffrey-epsteins-little-b-1681383992

Whatever happened to presumed innocent until proven guilty. This whole thread is speculation based on what the press choose to share.

I'm becoming more and more intrigued as to what stories Naomi 'angry' Campbell might have to tell, she features in a lot of pix with all the main characters and met VG

We should have been hearing from the last accusing witness against Ghislaine Maxwell—and the only one to testify under her real, full name: Annie Farmer.

Court will reconvene tomorrow

Annie Farmer is brave.

Maria Farmer, her sister, called the FBI in the 1990s, and they did absolutely nothing.

Both sisters tried so so hard to draw attention to what was going on with JE and GM but were ignored.

Can anyone explain why none of the victims, who have been very public in recounting their experiences, are not included in this trial as witnesses? is it because they accepted compensation.

Also, JE was found guilty in his original courtcase, and while his sentence was an absolute joke, I am wondering how come he was about to go on trial again for the same crime ? Is that not double jeopardy, or have I watched too much US TV.

Now, that's odd!

I have this thread on my watch list and catch up everyday so thank you all for your update posts and links. I find it quite sickening and triggering actually and wonder if many others do and possibly that's why the thread is not as active as it rightly should be. I hope these women receive justice - they were so young at the time and have carried this with them throughout their lives and no amount of money can compensate them for the shame they have to live with. People like GM & JE and R Kelly make my blood boil as they only have disdain for girls from these backgrounds but their money, and entitlement allows them to buy these girls cheaply just because they are poor and vulnerable.

I've wondered this too @artquejtion - no idea of the reason.

It's hard to figure out why some of the victims are not included in this trial. Whether they may have declined to participate or the prosecution decided not to call them.

Epstein was originally convicted under Florida State law. He was arrested again under Federal Law so double jeopardy didn't apply.

@BelleHathor, thank you for that link, its really interesting to read that when he did the plea deal in Florida, his lawyers had thought they had covered all possibilities believing he couldn't be prosecuted again anywhere else, even if other victims came forward.
