It’s not that old, is it? He died of cancer aged 37.

I’ve tried to mark it well. But my word, I miss him.

tunnock I am so so sorry for your loss. Flowers

Your dream has just reduced me to a puddle.

MadAntonia · 16/11/2021 23:33

You say you are failing but it seems you are doing an incredible job. Holding down a job, pancakes for breakfast, mid-week cinema trip and you read to your children each night. All whilst managing to keep your cool even though you don’t feel it inside.
Be proud of yourself it sounds like your children have a brilliant strong mother.

liliainterfrutices · 16/11/2021 23:37

My God you write beautifully tunnocks.
Your poems are so, so powerful and true.

Yes you did and he deserved you x x x
Pan2 · 16/11/2021 23:49

Just so moved. I am full of admiration for you both.

Miramax · 16/11/2021 23:50

Your writing is very warm and fresh ; like you are bringing him back ... 💕

Such beautiful love you have.
I dont know why beautiful relationships and good people need to be broken...
what was the urgency for all this to happen when there are so many evil people happily making the world a worse place to live...
I sometimes dont get anything

Hugs.. sleep tight Flowers😘

Thank you. Your writing is superb. Drills right down to the very heart of pain; love; longing; missing. I'm awash with tears but oh so grateful and honored to read what you write.

Julian of Norwich will steer you right, right enough. Flowers

sarah13xx · 16/11/2021 23:51

Awww bless you, crying reading some of your comments 😢 I’m so sorry, how shit that we don’t just get to live happily ever after with the one we love. So so unfair, 37 is no age at all.

Happy birthday, hope you’re having a blast up there ✨

Miramax · 16/11/2021 23:53

We've agreed before about Julian haven't we 2018? Grin

Some scholars think that, before becoming an Anchoress, Julian was a young widowed mother.

She loved her cat too.

I remember you Tunnocks. Tea cakes? I've often thought of you.
You are having a bit of a wobble with the teenagers, but that is to be expected.
I love your writing, it's lovely.
You are still being strong, keep on. You're doing a great job.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 17/11/2021 00:02

yes, dear bore we have indeed. Your sage advice steered me well during my wobbles, thank you. I'll always be grateful to you and to Julian.

I hope TeaCakes also finds some comfort there.

VillageOf8 · 17/11/2021 00:07

OP, there are no words I can say to alleviate your pain. My heart goes out to your family.

I hope one day you and your kids can find peace. Please also consider grief counseling for you and your children (especially the children).

Garriet · 17/11/2021 00:26

Your writing is beautiful and there’s so much love in it.
Love endures.
