How long have you been on MN?

And what brought you here? My youngest has just turned 10 which reminded me I found MN when heavily pregnant as suffering agonising SPD with him. I was directed to the Bounty forums by my midwife, then NM was mentioned on there and MN on there. So it was a chain reaction that led me here!
I’m glad it did, I’ve found it a useful hive of information but I can’t believe i’m still here 10 years later Grin

Around 2006 although lots of name changes and a whole new profile had to be created when I logged out in a huff and couldn’t remember the password for the (old) email address it was attached to Grin

Wow, how long has MN actually been going? Can’t believe some have been here 20+ years!
@ArblemarchTFruitbat since I’ve been here I’ve never looked at specific parenting topics and hardly ever open any thread to do with kids!
It’s great that there’s something for everyone. I’ve dipped in and out over the years, being more and less active as life is quiet and then busy but it’s a nice place to come back to.

Forgot to add I can’t remember how I ended up here but probably would still be in an abusive marriage if I hadn’t found mumsnet.

20 years, lots of namechanges though. There was a thread on a nanny forum that linked to mumsnet as someone disagreed on someone's opinion on Nannies.

Over a decade. Youngest DD is 10 and I found MN when we were struggling to conceive her around 2009 I think.
Many many name changes later I use it almost daily!

Since 2012 - can't remember exactly how. I think I must have searched for something pregnancy related and have been hooked ever since.
I don't post but I love the support, advice, wit and honesty.

I found the site in 2006 after I googled pregnancy after miscarriage. I'd just suffered a mc and was desperate to be pregnant again but wanted to know how soon it would be safe to try again. As it happened, I got pregnant again straight away and used to trawl the pregnancy and antenatal boards. Then I found that there was more to MN than that and I found other threads that were hilarious.

I didn't actually join until after DD1 was born in 2007 so I had lurked for over a year!

1 year and love it here. No kids but great discussions, serious/funny stories and insightful comments. Kept reading stories in press that originate from MN so thought I'd cut out the middle man

Joined whilst at university and supporting a pregnant friend and then went on to marry and have my own DC and somehow never left.

Since late 2005 I think, when I was trying to conceive. That child is 15 now. I dip in and out now, but back then I was here daily.

Since 2008, I think. I am so glad I found MN, but although I do recommend it to friends and colleagues whenever anyone is looking for advice on something, I don't think anyone has ever said "Already on it!"

Nearly 17 years.
Named changed alot in the last couple of years.

It was all Moldies and royalty. But like now there was support if you looked in the right places. I still.think about several.of people who posted.

About 4 or 5 years, I was on another chat forum that I wasn't a fan of, so found this one. I was more interested in pregnancy and baby related stuff initially.

Since 2007. I googled Tudor costumes for DD2 who was going on a school trip and the top hit was a Mumsnet thread- and I was hooked!

Since 2014, when first DC (of 2) was born. I'd looked at a few threads when I was pregnant, but mostly stuck to my BabyCentre birth club, despite them driving me potty. I never posted there, though.

The thread that brought me to MN was one of the crazy PFB moments ones. I was living it at the time and it made me laugh and realise it wasn't just me who'd lost my mind a bit! Then a few months later there was a thread about catnapping babies and I joined in with that because DD was a hideous napper. And sleeper in general...

Since 2009 with quite a few different names.
I get my news from MN and have been validated, educated and humbled by what I've read on here, I don't know what I'd do without it tbh
