I don't know if I'm in awe or outraged Grin

My kid has just given me the most epic Christmas list
OP posts:
Its947 · 11/11/2021 15:50

That’s a list to keep and show him if/when he has kids. Made me lol. ❤️

PicturesOfLily · 11/11/2021 15:55

I’ve just asked my 4yo what she wants. She said she’ll tell me when it’s Christmas 🤷‍♀️

Kanaloa · 11/11/2021 15:55

@Foldedsheets

Mine has asked for a ship in a bottle and an alarm clock, not sure what that says about her Grin
😂 that she’s secretly someone’s granddad?
Champersandchocolate · 11/11/2021 15:56

@catinboots123 I would definitely educate your child that Moissanite is ethical and way more sparkly than diamond!! 😊😊

Love the list though.

PussyCatEatingPigsInBlankets · 11/11/2021 15:59

@caringcarer

I have a 15 year old who says he doesn't really want anything. He always does this then some years on Xmas Eve he will suddenly decide what it is he wants. I have suggested so many things. Last year was easy because he wanted an enormous cricket net and bowling machine. He uses it everyday. He says he does not need any thing else had had basketball hoop and ball for birthday. Help me out with suggestions. He is very sporty.
New bat, box of balls, replacement boots and pads and box
TheOrigRights · 11/11/2021 15:59

Mine has asked for

  • black balaclava - just with mouth and eye holes
  • a Roadman bag
ponkydonkey · 11/11/2021 16:11

@TheOrigRights road man 🤣🤣🤣 that made me laugh
My son was the same at that age!

I love this thread my son also asked for similar stuff
Now it's all:
Supreme hoodie
£154 Nike air max
Etc etc 😱😱

FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack · 11/11/2021 16:12

Which bank are they planning to hold up?
CarrotSticks19 · 11/11/2021 16:24

If @TheOrigRights gets her son his list, then soon he'll be able to afford to buy OPs DS list Grin

ThePoisonousMushroom · 11/11/2021 16:24

My 8 year old doesn’t want anything. It’s her birthday just before Christmas and she doesn’t want anything for that either. Says she’s already got plenty of stuff.
My 6 year old said that’s good because she wants enough things for the both of them and will use the space on her sister’s list for all the stuff she wants Grin.

TheOrigRights · 11/11/2021 16:25

Perfect!
I am tickled at the clip, but also laughing wondering where you came across it.

Lists baffle me... I never did them, my kids have never done them and I just don't get it, it strikes me rude and entitled (even more so when it's adults doing them).

when my DS was 11 he announced verbally at dinner one day he would like the brand new (about to be released back then) Iphone for Xmas.

I think the response of everyone laughing was his very clear answer to that (he already has a £500+ Samsung phone that he NEVER uses and the matching smartwatch, speaker dock thing and other accessories) turns out it's only because kids at school were bragging that they asked for one, he didn't even really want anything like that he just wanted to 'keep up' with what the other kids were doing.

If my kid ever did do a list I would not bow and break to buying stupid things... I would pick one, I googled the mini speakers on this list and looks like they're £20 so I and would maybe pick something like that.

I actually don't find the diamond request crazy, diamonds don't HAVE to cost the earth... I was gifted a diamond tennis bracelet and earrings not much older but they're no fun, they just sit in the safe, certainly arent rocking diamonds to school or to show your friends.

Hardly rude and entitled when I’ve asked them to make a list to give me some ideas. Would be ruder if they refused when I’d asked them to.

ShoesCoatandBag · 11/11/2021 16:27

My 14 year old has asked for:

Nothing, apparently he has everything he wants in the price range for Christmas. And the boy is not wrong. What he’s really like is a gaming pc, and he’s quite correct he won’t be getting one.

He’ll get extra pigs in blankets , a couple of books, a box of malteasers and unlimited access to the Xbox for the day.

ThePlumVan · 11/11/2021 16:30

@idontlikealdi NEVER EVER GET THE HORSE.

Everything else is cheap chip money by comparison.

Aberteifi · 11/11/2021 16:40

My 8 year old son wants
A Gaming chair and LED lights for his wall that is it.
But his friend wants a laptop so can he have one of those as well Grin
His birthday is two weeks before Christmas and he wants Nike trainers a Nike tracksuit and a game.

My 6 year old Dd just wants a horse.
She thinks it can live in the garden Grin obviously never happening.

We have had 2 fairly expensive gaming chairs and both broke pretty quickly and not due to the kids really, they are now just 'chairs' and we arent replacing them anymore.
FlaviaAlbiaWantsLangClegBack · 11/11/2021 16:47

TheOrigRights Grin I subscribe to their channel, they have a new sketch every Thursday and that was last weeks, must be the season Wink

ShinyHappyPoster · 11/11/2021 16:50

Ah I thought he'd be that age because our DS is the same age and he has a mechanical keyboard on his list too. Grin

When he was younger, he would always come up with one almost-impossible gift a few days before Christmas eg toy crisps; a story-book (with no pictures) about him and his friends. At least he's grown out of that now.

minipie · 11/11/2021 16:52
Grin

Do you have form for giving DC designer knock offs, OP?

HighlandCowbag · 11/11/2021 16:53

My 7 year old ds put VR headset, gaming pc, VR something else, a camera to record his own videos and a YouTube account on his list. When I googled VR headset and saw the price I said it was out of budget. He sighed and said he would just borrow the money and pay me back when he becomes a YouTuber. Kids got ambitions.

itsgettingwierd · 11/11/2021 16:57

That's made my day Grin

Love the importance of each section and the actual size of the largest teddy!

And the added bit about the diamonds being too expensive so don't actually worry about it.

That kid is going to go far in life Grin
