I really miss the Phileas Fogg snacks from around the 90s, particularly Punjab Puri and Mignon Morceaux… god they were good. Also Frisps if anyone remembers them. And NikNaks before they went dry and biscuity. Anyone else?

Thanks @beachtosunset - no French Aldi nearby but will try the Swiss one next time I'm passing. Most places selling U.K. meat/cheese have switched to Irish suppliers and while their cheddar is excellent, there is no substitute for the white crumbly type of cheese...

@TeethingBabyHelp

Cartoonies. Nobody ever remembers them but they were little bags of biscuits; sort of glossy with a cartoon character on with chocolate in the middle

I'm pregnant and craving them BADLY. But you can't get them anymore. My body doesn't accept this and I think about them daily at the moment

They were the second thing I thought of after Heinz baked beans with little veggie hotdogs.

i dont think i am imagining them but i can remember these sort of posh chocs you could get that were frozen sort of ice cream centres. cant remember name but I know mum bought some but only the once due to the price and we had something like one each so can barely remember the taste! wondered why they never caught on but frozen chocs like Mars bars did.
oh yes and ice cream birthday cakes not gateaus but proper ice cream cakes

@HopingForOurRainbowBaby

Re: Cadbury Caramilk, keep an eye out in the likes of B&M for the Australian import. So much better than the UK version! The Galaxy blonde chocolate is also very good, as is the Aldi version with Himalayan salt.

meltingmyhead · 07/11/2021 18:50

@PearlAsylum

As PP mentioned, Spiras and Phileas Fogg items.

Plus coconut Boosts.

And: there used to be these crisps which were in the shape of pigs, 3D. I loved those. And Burton's Potato Puffs (10p!)

Omg, no one else I've ever mentioned them to remembers the pig crisps! Everyone tells me I made them up
meltingmyhead · 07/11/2021 18:52

And sainsburys used to do a Bombay potato pastie in the 90s, it was immense

Something identical called Hello Panda in Home Bargains. I was SO happy. Little red boxes in the bit with biscuits and cakes

Quorn fake chicken and mushroom pie

notthemum · 08/11/2021 05:36

Whoever wanted Frys chocolate cream peppermint = Asda, iceland and 99p shop. 99p shop also does the orange ones, raspberry and possibly lemon or pineapple, but they are all separate bars and all the creams inside are all white.

Also

Boaster cookies and Cadburys tasters

Boasters??

Thank you so much to everyone who suggested these!!

I'm sat in B&M car park and my pregnancy craving is satisfied. They are JUST like Cartoonies and I'm considering going back in to clear the shelves

Taxi chocolate biscuits

Witneylass · 10/11/2021 03:24

This ice-cream that was marketed as a kind of Vienetta-style dessert; it was made by Walls and it was called something like 'Bombe' it was ridiculously sugary and shaped like a Christmas pudding rather than the Vienetta "loaf" shape.

Gino Ginelli ice-cream

Tiny little oven pizzas - you would have about 6 rather than slices of a normal one
