I really miss the Phileas Fogg snacks from around the 90s, particularly Punjab Puri and Mignon Morceaux… god they were good. Also Frisps if anyone remembers them. And NikNaks before they went dry and biscuity. Anyone else?

Mighty white bread

TossieFleacake · 06/11/2021 21:20

I get Frisps in asda, also home bargains sell them too.

I would love Cadburys to bring back Spira bars, they were delicious.

@BIWI

Secret Bars failed because they were so sickly. Not many people could eat a whole one - and even if they managed it the first time, it put them off buying a second time.

Initial sales were massively high, but repeat purchasing was too low for Rowntrees to be able to keep on manufacturing it.

I could easily eat a whole one! Blush

Gypsy Creams. (Biscuit)

NewlySingle2021 · 06/11/2021 21:28

Sainsbury's used to do 2 amazing chocolate things I used to get as a treat. My mum couldn't afford to go there often (we were poor, it was Kwik Save all the way!) but used to get a few special bits for us at birthdays and Christmas. 1 was a chilled dessert called Tartufo and the other were little chocolate chip scotch pancakes. So delicious. Never found anything similar since.

EdithWeston · 06/11/2021 21:28

Pacers

And proper flavour Opal Fruits - lime, orange, strawberry, and lemon

MilkTart · 06/11/2021 21:28

The original Time Out bars, not the crappy Time Out Wafer ones that are all you can get now. Also, Guinness HP sauce.

GlitterBiscuits · 06/11/2021 21:30

Salt and Vinegar Skydivers crisps.
No one remembers them apart from me.
They used to child me eyes water!

FrankiesKnuckle · 06/11/2021 21:32

Toast toppers and Worcestershire sauce twiglets.

TeethingBabyHelp · 06/11/2021 21:34

Cartoonies. Nobody ever remembers them but they were little bags of biscuits; sort of glossy with a cartoon character on with chocolate in the middle

I'm pregnant and craving them BADLY. But you can't get them anymore. My body doesn't accept this and I think about them daily at the moment

@MilkTart

I worked on the development of Time Out, and am gutted that they've discontinued them in favour of the current version. Although they're tasty, they're not a patch on the original Time Out product Sad

MilkLady02 · 06/11/2021 21:40

I remember cartoonies!
Pretty sure you can still get drifter bars, I’ve definitely bought some in Asda recently.

OddsNSodsBitsNBobs · 06/11/2021 21:43

Pyramint 😔

Clevs · 06/11/2021 21:48

Chicken & bacon Crispy Pancakes.
Cadbury's Fuse.
Birds Hot Chocolate Crunch pudding.
Sara Lee chocolate gateau.
Piglet crisps.
Apple & raspberry squash.
Toast Toppers (particularly cheese & ham).
Walkers cheese Snaps.

Plus anything that doesn't taste like it used to - Cadbury's chocolate, squash with sugar in and not sweetener etc.

Findahouse21 · 06/11/2021 21:48

@TeethingBabyHelp I remember catoinies. You can now get boxes of simillar biscuits callednhello panda from several independent newsagents near me. Have a look if you're craving them!

Thatsplentyjack · 06/11/2021 21:55

My mum used to buy these wee tubs of frozen strawberry mousse. No idea where from, andshe claims she can't remember, but they were so good.

Also crispy pancakes. Why would they stop making them?!

I think they were called Angel something. My parents used to buy this in Bejam which came before Iceland

@HazelandChacha

Does anyone remember a green puff bar covered in chocolate? I think it was mint flavour and had a black wrapper. Might actually have been late 80’s. It’s the texture I remember more than the taste but, despite the occasional google, I’ve never found what it was.
Mintola?
Bsmirched · 06/11/2021 22:00

Birds Hot Crunch Pudding!

Thatsplentyjack · 06/11/2021 22:01

Oh and these mint ice cream lollies the shop near our old house used to have (I'm sure other places sold them, I just never got them anywhere else) it was an ice lolly shape with chocolate ice cream then mint ice cream around it then solid chocolate that might have had little crispy bit on the outside. They were amazing.
