Another thread. I wanted a Mr Frosty, but never got one. Apparently my parents says I never asked at Christmas or birthdays. (I did have an A la cart kitchen though.)

I had a Sindy huse, car, pony and trap, tent, etc I loved my Sindys! I never wanted a Barbie.

Ah the Magic Cooker... I wish I still had my Sindy house. I think I'd still play with it and I'm 46!

I finally bought myself one from argos a few years ago. It was SHIT.

My parents used to buy me presents and then not let me have them. I had to keep them in a box and “save” them because one day they might be worth something. So 80s things like when kids cameras first came out, all my friends had one on school trips - mine was in a box in the loft being “saved”. So many gifts like that.

My dad has dementia now and I am clearing out his house to move him near me. All those boxes of presents that would have given me such joy as a child? Worth fucking pennies on ebay, it’s not worth buying the tape to package them if they sold. All gone to the charity shop. It made me so sad.

Late to the party but omg I wanted Mr Frosty, the yellow teapot, the a la cart kitchen, the tree shaped house, a sindy house, a silver cross dolls pram and never got any of them!

Ha my mum said the same! And I agree with you. Still got mine though, I was going to give them to the local school when my boys took a shine to them so they stayed for a bit longer.

I had My Airline and a Sindy shower that pumped real water out. In a dribble. I coveted Major Morgan!
I had a tiny train that played little coloured records you stuck in the back, maybe Fisher Price?
I never got a Mr Frosty either and as a joke, mum bought an ice crusher and flavourings for us a few years ago to make up for it.

Went in the loft for something yesterday and spotted a grumpy bear in a box. On the back of this thread I felt a bit sat for him and brought him down to sit on my bed 😂

I wanted dreamphone for years. Never got it. I too asked for a mr frosty but got told no it would make a mess :(

I had no idea the Family Tree House was so coveted. I did have this one and absolutely loved it. I've been reminiscing about this lately when I spotted one in a toy museum but no-one I was with recognised it. I didn't realise it was a "thing"!

Off to browse the retro Argos catalogues while I'm supposed to be working...

I desperately wanted one of those Cadbury mini chocolate bar dispensers you saw in the Argos catalogue as a kid. DH tried to get me one a few Christmases ago but couldn't track one down.

I wanted a Girls World modelling head thing. I still want one but dh refuses as he says it's weird for a 53 year old! I dont know what he means ha ha!

I always wanted a remote control car. Never got one. Until my friend bought me one for my birthday a few years ago!

I didn’t get one either, my mum did buy me one for my 18th though. It was shit tbh

Haha, I did this every year for about five years but also never got one. Same with the stretch Armstrong and I wanted a chopper bike for a couple of years but didn’t get one. Sad times.
