Well, that LAST THREAD filled up much faster - so glad so many of us are finding this a place of comfort. How lucky we are to have so many of us on standby to hold our fears and worries, so that we can rest.

No questions asked, no solutions given, just the offer of a place to lay down our burdens. All are welcome.

Thank you, that's brought a little tear. I'm also awaiting some medical results and I'm scared.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 03/07/2022 23:07

I know how scary that is. But not for tonight. I'll hold that fear and you let yourself just rest. Go on. Just rest.

I've realised I've leapt from the frying pan and into the fire. One controlling relationship for another. Heartbroken and frightened tonight

2018SoFarSoGreat · 04/07/2022 00:59

@scaredysquiggle ah that's a horrid realization. I'm so sorry. Now that you've figured it out I hope you can find a way out.

For now, just give the fear and worry over here. We will hold them for tonight, while you just get some sleep. That's all you need to do for now. Go on. That's it. Let it all go.

Dropping by to pop my worries here again. It always brings me a little calm. I'd also be so very grateful for all positive thoughts and prayers ❤️

2018SoFarSoGreat · 04/07/2022 23:16

@LyraSilvertongueBelacqua worries received and given a stern warning to sit quietly or else.

Sending you all the best wishes and hopes and dreams, so just get cuddled up, close your eyes and rest. You are in good hands with us. Night night.

Can I hop on? DS 3yr old has a fever again tonight after having covid a week ago. We thought he was over it but he seems to have spiked again and I'm so worried.

He's acting normally so DH has said not to worry but here I am panicking! I also started a new job yesterday so need to be on my game and just feel overwhelmed!

2018SoFarSoGreat · 05/07/2022 01:45

Ah @elephantmarchingin poor wee thing! The nighttime fever is always scary.

You need to sleep, so leave it with us and just cosy in. Good luck with work tomorrow. If they are half decent humans, they will be compassionate.

This is such a lovely idea

2018SoFarSoGreat · 05/07/2022 19:03

@Peanutlicious it is! Not my idea but we just keep it alive. It works; no idea how but it does. Jump in any time.

Signing in for the night shift, the cat is hogging the bed and the covers, so if you throw your worries at him it will hopefully tempt him off my spot!
Just drop them off at the end of the bed and we will take care of them for you while you sleep.

Surprisedat42 · 05/07/2022 22:08

I’m really worried because I’m 8 weeks pregnant and I keep thinking something is wrong and I’ll find out at the scan. I’m obsessing over symptoms or lack of them.

elephantmarchingin · 05/07/2022 22:09

We have another temperature tonight. So annoying as it went down before DS went to bed! One very very stressed and worried mum over here just don't know what to do especially as he is acting normally in every other way!

2018SoFarSoGreat · 05/07/2022 22:14

@Surprisedat42 ah that's horrid.

For tonight leave that worry here. @GenuineKlatchianPottery, her cat and mine will all take great care of it so that you can just rest. Go on. Just snuggle up and shut your eyes. That's the way. We've got you.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 05/07/2022 22:16

@elephantmarchingin oh dear. Poor wee thing and poor you. So distressing!

We've got your worry though, so you can sleep. We will hold it and send healing and cooling thoughts to you both. Shhhh. It's OK.

I am struggling to hold off panic attacks. Goodness knows why. I do have a lot going on, but am also peri menopausal, so maybe that? But would love to be able to leave these with someone, get a good night's sleep without sabotaging myself, and actually feel well enough to have a normal day tomorrow where I don't think I might be about to die at some point.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 05/07/2022 22:25

@Gigglebiscuit that sounds terrible, I am sorry. But tonight you can just push it all over here, and we, with our feline helpers, will hold it tight so that you can sleep.

Cuddle in, shut your eyes. Just sleep. That's it. Night night.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 05/07/2022 23:15

My mind is racing. Will pop my worries in here and hope for a good night's sleep. All positive thoughts and prayers lost welcome for tomorrow x

2018SoFarSoGreat · 05/07/2022 23:26

Come on in @LyraSilvertongueBelacqua. Your worries can join the rest, squished tightly at the foot of the beds, and cats have their beady eyes on them.

Get some sleep. It's OK for now. We've got you.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 06/07/2022 22:34

Just popping in with huge gratitude and to let you know my results were good x

Lovely that this is still going. I think it was started in 2019 by one of the cancer thread ladies (Naomi something?) It was a difficult time for me and this thread was so uplifting.

ihatesonic · 06/07/2022 22:38

I am really worried my daughter has something seriously wrong with her. She's gone from active with a slight niggly back ache to unable to walk or stand by herself in a month.

Can't get gp to take it seriously.

HeArInGhandsgirl11 · 06/07/2022 23:13

Ooo I love this, I stay awake most evenings worrying about things that shouldn't matter

2018SoFarSoGreat · 06/07/2022 23:17

@ihatesonic I'm so sorry. That must be really worrying.

For now, leave that right here with us. We shall hold it tenderly with best of wishes that this is figured out and fixed fast.

Just cuddle up. Shut your eyes. That's it. We've got you now.
