Well, that LAST THREAD filled up much faster - so glad so many of us are finding this a place of comfort. How lucky we are to have so many of us on standby to hold our fears and worries, so that we can rest.

No questions asked, no solutions given, just the offer of a place to lay down our burdens. All are welcome.

@Skap I hope things are better for you now, but just drop in if you need us. Someone is always here for you.

If someone else could torment themselves with thoughts of my partner and the woman half our age I'm 99% certain he's sleeping with I would be so very grateful. Just for a couple of hours so I can get a little bit of sleep.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 07/07/2022 03:53

Oh yes# you must let that worry go for tonight, and focus on yourself and your wellbeing. That means sleep, @milawops, so forget about them both and snuggle in. Get comfy, shut your eyes and breathe. And again. That's it. Sleep well, you are in good hands.

No worries as such but popping by with my thoughts as I can't sleep and I really need to x

2018SoFarSoGreat · 08/07/2022 01:16

@LyraSilvertongueBelacqua well come on in, and just know we've got any that rear their ugly heads. Settle down, shut your eyes, you know what to do.

Night Night.

I'm here to hold some worries, I have some , I have covid again, feeling wheezy ...think I'll be up for a while yet...

Northlights · 10/07/2022 01:04
  • well done , sorry Smile
2018SoFarSoGreat · 10/07/2022 01:06

Hello @Northlights lovely to see you here again, if one can say that in a thread where we are only here if you have worries!

Sorry you are wheezy, but let's do this. I'll hold your worries and you pick up for someone else. That way, you can tuck them in and also get some rest. Think soothing thoughts. There you go. Just rest.

I have seen this thread pop up a few times, but never needed it til now.

I have a horrible few months coming up - it’s all kicked off this week just gone. I just know I’ve got a load of sleepless nights coming up.

If anyone could caretake my worries for a few hours, I’m sure it would help.

Thank you, nightshift, for this thread.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 10/07/2022 02:32

I'm glad you stopped by, @Prezperez. This is just the place for you.

For as long as you need us, we will be here to take that bundle of worries and hold them, so that you can just rest. Just gather them up and toss them this way. That's it.

Now, cosy in. Shut your eyes. Breathe. And sleep. We've got you now.

Thank you.

l’m off to try and get some sleep. Flowers

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 11/07/2022 22:26

For anyone who is struggling with their problems or worries tonight, I’m here for the night shift, alongside my little furry fiend (who’s just fallen off the bed and is sitting looking at me and daring me to laugh).
Just pop those worries off at the end of the bed and we’ll take care of them for you while you sleep.

BumpyLegs12 · 11/07/2022 23:06

I'm on sleepless night number 3. We are on holiday and my anxiety is through the roof. My current obsession is around bedbugs, I'm convinced they're everywhere, we're going to bring them home, and my lovely children will never have a safe place to sleep again.

I'm running through all the scenarios in my mind over and over again. I'm exhausted.

Prezperez · 13/07/2022 00:49

@BumpyLegs12 … you’ll see I posted for the first time on this thread just a few days ago… it helped.

I’m still up late but not as anxious as I was a few days ago. You leave your worries with me tonight; I’ve got them for you until morning. Try and rest.

BumpyLegs12 · 13/07/2022 14:00

Thank you so much @Prezperez. I managed a full night's sleep last night finally. The days are still dominated by anxiety but at least I got some rest.

HerRoyalHappiness · 14/07/2022 11:27

I know its not night and ive not been here for ages but I've had fun and games. I was in hospital over last weekend. I was discharged with a catheter. I need more catheter bags. When I was discharged from the hospital I was told to phone my GP for more. So I did. Only they said they didn't have the letter to get me more and I needed to phone A&E back.
So I do. They said no, it's district nurse you need to call.
So I call them and they say no they don't deal with catheters anymore and I've to phone A&E back.
So I phoned A&E back and they said I had to get someone to go collect some from the hospital 3.5 miles away... when I don't drive, nor does my mum who's been taking care of me.
They also can't tell me what's happening with the trial without catheter clinic and they can't tell me when I'll see neuro about the numbness.
So yeah. That's a bag of wank.

bloodywhitecat · 14/07/2022 19:06

That is wank indeed @HerRoyalHappiness but sadly that has been my experience of the NHS recently. Did you manage to get things sorted?

2018SoFarSoGreat · 14/07/2022 19:31

@HerRoyalHappiness that is ridiculous! Sorry you're stuck in the middle of such nonsense.

OP posts:
HerRoyalHappiness · 14/07/2022 19:40

Luckily my.mum managed to get in touch with her brother who drove her up to the hospital to collect the catheter bags. But yeah, the NHS has gone to shit.

Adventurine · 30/07/2022 19:24

My son is on his first army cadet annual camp. It's the longest he's been away from me in his life and it's made me think of what it will be like when my children grow up and start pulling away and then moving away and I just can't see how I'll be ok with that.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 30/07/2022 19:34

@Adventurine ah, that is a wee look into the future. And that comes with all the fears and dreams and wishes for our children.

Leave the worry here. We will hold it for now. With wishes that he's having a wonderful time. You just cosy in and have nice dreams.

Hi all - expecting a restless
night ahead - I have had a managed miscarriage so am in a bit of pain and quite emotional today. Might need a hand hold through the night ahead.
