Well, that LAST THREAD filled up much faster - so glad so many of us are finding this a place of comfort. How lucky we are to have so many of us on standby to hold our fears and worries, so that we can rest.

No questions asked, no solutions given, just the offer of a place to lay down our burdens. All are welcome.

For anyone that needs to leave their worries for the night, I’m here with my little furry fiend. Just drop them off at the end of the bed and we’ll take good care of them for you while you sleep.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 18/06/2022 22:23

Hello @GenuineKlatchianPottery it has been quiet around here. Hope that means everyone is worrying less and enjoying the increased sunshine and all of the beautiful flowers that are blooming.

Hello lovely people.

More health worries, more tests. I'm sure like all the others it will be fine and they'll not find anything serious. But. Vent alert. Having chronic illnesses is hard and I am not sure I'm aware of how much it impacts my life. Some days I'm fine. Other days I'm just ... a PITA to be around and a very tired and sore human

2018SoFarSoGreat · 19/06/2022 22:13

@BelladiMamma it does sound hard and no wonder you need to vent. Sending healing thoughts and hopes for tests being nothing to worry you.

Just get cozied in. Shut your eyes. Let it all go and rest. Just rest. We've got you for now. It's OK.

My first baby arrives in 18 days I am so excited... But so nervous! What I would do for a really comfortable full nights sleep at the moment without three or four trips for a wee. Any volunteers for an uncomfortable night of up and down? I feel so ready yet so unprepared all at the same time.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 19/06/2022 22:19

@namechangeanonymous I'm in! you can totally count on me. I will be up several times anyway and happy to take care of business for you too.

A new life. That is truly a miracle and so exciting. We can help you count down the days. That's a brilliant task to take on. You just go cuddle in and rest. We've got you!

Just wondering if anyone was around at gone 3am... I'm awake, with pain from a health issue...and will need to chase up a GP appointment tomorrow (which is an exhausting prospect). Other worries too - which are whirling around my head & stopping me going back to sleep...

2018SoFarSoGreat · 23/06/2022 03:27

@Morningfog85 I'm here. I'm sorry you're in pain and all the worry that creates.

For now, I'll hold onto that for you. You just cosy in, shut your eyes and drift away. I've got you, so big breath, push all that worry over here, and sleep.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking my worries. The kind words on this thread are such a comfort...

2018SoFarSoGreat · 23/06/2022 03:32

Happy to give a little comfort when we can.

Night night.

Would love someone to take my worries if anyone is around ❤️

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 29/06/2022 01:14

Hi @LyraSilvertongueBelacqua
I'm here, just leave those worries with me and you snuggle down and sleep.
Me and the cat will take care of them for you.

Tromboleese · 29/06/2022 01:47

I have some health worries and I’m struggling to sleep. If someone can take them off me for a while, that would be a great help. Even better if you’d pop them on a boil wash so they shrink next time I have to wear them on my shoulders.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 29/06/2022 02:00

I will happily take them and squish them into submission. You just get some sleep now @Tromboleese. It's OK. We've got you. Cosy in. That's the way.

Me tonight Been awake since three, I'm exhausted. My husband and I are both having hospital procedures in the next week (him skin cancer removal at plastic surgeon on his face and me investigations about my stupid endo). I'm focusing on smaller things that are minor but I'm making them big in my head.

Ds (8) has to wear pe kit to school today and his white t-shirt was all stained when he brought it home last night so he has to wear a white one with a slogan, this is really stressing me out. And it's supposed to rain so they'll all be cold but the school haven't mentioned joggers or hoodies etc. His school shows have also fallen apart and I can't buy any more atm so he's been wearing his trainers. I'm going to say I don't want to buy some before they break up for summer if asked. He's had a note in his diary for a week and no -ones mentioned it.

he was upset at bedtime too as his best friend has got a "girlfriend" and they've been partnering up together at school and he feels left out and in his words "they're too young, that's for when you're like 12!" Bless him , I felt so sad listening to him sniffling as he went to sleep.

and just the usual no money shit show. better off than some as I have £17 to last me a week but two bills to come out that are more than double this.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 29/06/2022 06:04

@Harrystylestutu no wonder you can't sleep. What a lot you have on your mind. Your DS sounds like a lovely young man with a good head on his shoulders. That must be down to you, so take a moment to feel good about that.

As to all of the worries. Just lay them down right here. We've got them now. You just need to let yourself rest. Truly. Sleep. It's OK. We've got you now.

@GenuineKlatchianPottery thank you, best nights sleep I've had in a while Flowers

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 01/07/2022 22:16

For anyone who is struggling with their problems or worries tonight. Just drop them off here with me and the cat for the night and we will corral them and keep them under control for you until you are ready to collect them.
They will be adequately cared for and I promise that if you really want to collect them tomorrow then they will be in reasonable condition. Ish.
Throw them in the general direction of the end of the bed and I will do my best to keep them quiet. (Can you tell I may have had a whiskey or 4 tonight? What can I say, it’s been a hard shift) 😀

2018SoFarSoGreat · 01/07/2022 23:32

@GenuineKlatchianPottery i hope the 'medicine' lets you sleep well. I am yet to have any, ahem, assistance, so shall offer to assist you if needed.

Sleep well everyone.

I'm back. Yet More medical tests. More waiting, more uncertainty. Can't believe I was here this time last year and it's been a whole year of this. Luckily nothing conclusive found but always a little niggle that they want to check up on.
In all of this, I'm grateful that my GP looks after me so well and takes all my strange or unexpected symptoms seriously.
In the midst of it, I had a serious accident which took me 9 months to recover from, had 6 months off from the other tests and now it's all starting again because symptoms haven't gone away.
I'm grateful I have a loving partner, which I didn't last year. My kids are great. My dogs are super too. I'm ok. But I'm worried.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 03/07/2022 22:12

@BelladiMamma I'm sorry you are back, but we are still here, so that's a good thing.

I'm glad you can count up all of the good things, and that you're getting such stellar care.

Leave that worry right here. We can tuck it in and hold it safe, while you just rest. Shut your eyes and let it all go. We've got you.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 03/07/2022 23:04

@LyraSilvertongueBelacqua I can do that!

Happy to squish them in here and keep a good eye on then so that they stay put. You just cozy in and get some rest. It's OK. We've got you. Night night.
