Names that are never coming back

Names that been in common use since about 1850 (so nothing from ancient history like Ethelberger or whatever), that are well and truly dead, as in no babies are likely to be called this now.

How about:
Mildred ?
Edna ?
Mortimer ?

Can you think of any others?

There is a Gary in my grandson's school, Y7. Margaret is a name you don't hear often.

My fathers name was Cedric, which I’m rather fond of- only other person called Cedric is in Harry Potter!

Just remembered, Cecil is a name you don't hear much of. My DM said if I'd been a boy, Cecil was on the list. Each to their own I suppose, but I'm glad I was born a girl

I think the name Hilda might make a comeback because of the excellent graphic novels and two equally excellent Netflix series . A great female role model for our DDs.

One of my cousin's named their kid Warren - I think he must be about 7 or 8 now.

Vera hasnt come back

I really, really wanted to call my DD Vera. My mum had a very elegant sophisticated friend called Vera - but Vera Duckworth ruined the name!

My elderly aunts were called Violet, Mona and Gertrude.

I'm not sure any of their names will, be back in a hurry

I know three Violets, all under 10.

I had a client with a baby Gary so people are still using it.

My dad's name is Barry and my 26 year old nephew has the same name. I quite like it and it's a bit different nowadays.

DD 1 was nearly a Violet -it ended up being her middle name!

Philip? I actually considered that for DD, imo it's a normal, classic name
