Has anyone ever went to school/worked with or just knew before they became famous? Just wondering as I don't know anybody who is famous 😀 and what were they like ?

Whats the point of joining in the discussion and not naming names ??

I think I have written on here before about this so will name names.

Judge Rinder was my friend before he was famous and was lovely then as he appears to be now. His aim was to be Prime Minister when I knew him.

I went to college with Naomie Harris aka Miss Moneypenny. She seemed really friendly.

Have heard similar unpleasant things about Lewis Hamilton when he was younger.

Someone I know auditioned Amy Winehouse for a band. Apparently her voice was quite different. She didn’t get in the band.

My aunt would say you only know someone famous if they know you. The only one who fits the bill for me is James Martin…

I grew up across the road from a family who became incredibly famous for their musical talent. One of them in particular. We didn't see that much of them playing out as kids as they were always busy with their music or away performing late night at clubs and weddings and stuff- they didn't have much time for hanging out with us, but they seemed nice. The one who became the lead singer was a very smart cheeky bright kid.

I was in the same year at school as Olivia Colman. Her real name is actually Sarah. She was very nice but not one of the cool gang and I certainly don’t remember her doing any drama. She was always very chatty and confident however.

I have a friend who is famous in the sporting world and as a result of this got to know/meet other famous people. Weirdly I don't view them as famous as I grew up with them and meet ups are usually for coffee/drinks and a good natter about everyday things

A friend of mine knew Sandra Oh in high school in Canada. He said she was super cool and funny even then.

I lived next door to Pui Fan Lee from show me show me when I was a child. Her and her family were all lovely

Desmond Askew (he was in grange hill) used to drink in the pub i worked in. He was lovely no exciting stories to tell. He once stopped a fight by saying "you're making lilmishap really uncomfortable she's not paid enough for this shit c'mon sort it out like grown ups"

I think it was Bet Lynch, (Julie Goodyear) who I saw opening a shop in a Northern town many years ago, and that's it. ha ha.

I went to school with the founder of “diy on a budget” 🤣 does that count?! I’ve met a couple of famous people and some were so normal it’s untrue! Sonia form eastenders is a mum at my kids school!

I went to school with an All Black too! NZ's such a small country . .. there was also another 80's All Black that went there before my time.
Peter Jackson (LOTR director) also went to my school a long time before me.

Oh also one of the Black Caps (the captain a few years ago whose name I can't remember) now wife did dance with me when I was a kid/teenager. Only recognised her when I saw their wedding in a magazine a few years ago

Family member is a founding member of famous influential band. One of those bands not quite stellar themselves but cited by huge number of stellar stars () as centrally influential. Famous but more in music circles than more generally.
During childhood he was just normal (but in wealthy family). Very much not expected when looking at family. Hasn’t obviously my changed him for the worse (other than damaged his hearing) - managed to have solid family life despite international touring etc.

I don't know any of them personally but...

A friend went to school with Mr Tumble.

Another friend went to school with Natalie Dormer. Apparently she was a bitch who thought she was better than everyone else.

Loads of people I know knew Kate Winslet/Ricky Gervais growing up.

Another friend went to school with Kate Middleton (as she was then.) He said she was lovely. Quite quiet. And he accidentally flashed her on the stairs one evening.

If he was in the area he would drop in to see them.
Apparently a lovely man.

Went out with a guy who wanted to marry me. I didn't love him so it didn't work.
He's now going out with a world famous singer - they're currently in Italy at the dolce & gabanna event. I love watching their photos in the media

What's ironic is I found him too boring and.. "traditional"- he took me to a restaurant once where they didn't serve alcohol :(
On a Saturday night we wanted us to go home after 2 drinks!
However the famous singer is super wild - she's dressed in see through clothing, is bipolar, and bisexual .
So he's not so boring after all!:)

My god children went to school with a mega famous rock star... Their Mum said she had to sit through umpteen school concerts with him playing his guitar!!

I was in the same class at school as an MP, she was always very focused and driven and even in primary school it was clear she was going to be an MP.
