Just marvelling at my soda stream. We used to buy SO much sparkling water the amount of plastic was dreadful. I'm so glad I bought it! has really made life better.

Also my quartz worktops.... was a splurge but bloody hell my kitchen is a beautiful place to be now. I can't stop looking at them!

Bit random but bark chippings for flower beds in the garden. About £500 but hopefully the end of hours of weeding.

Good quality rain suits for the kids. We've had loads of fun adventures in the rain, and as long as they're dry they're happy.

Traditionally a static caravan is money down the drain but with COVID we have been able to have a weekend away / holiday every weekend.

It is on the beautiful Welsh coast with great views and lots of privacy.

We could not afford as many weekends away if we didn't have it and now we can have friends and family come to stay and enjoy it too.

Fabulous relaxing place which works wonders for your mental health. Gets you out in the fresh air walking, paddle boarding, swimming, sea fishing, BBQing and just enjoying life.

Ultimately it has been the best use of our money and a godsend.

Last year my new bed and mattress I got delivered the day before the first lockdown. It's so bloody comfy, I love it so much.
This year my garden sofa, am out there all the time now, it's like an extra living space.

This sounds very flashy, but my personal trainer. After two children, a husband who has high personal needs (a whole other thread) a demanding job, being overweight and rock bottom self confidence and self worth, he has changed my life.
I adore my 2 hours on a Friday evening. He has fixed my wrecked stomach muscles so I no longer look 6 months pregnant, helped me to lose weight, given me confidence and taught me how to be systematic in my approach to things and life in general. I've just started MMA with him and I'm so very proud of myself. It was brutal training, but I couldn't stop smiling. I can't believe that I do the things I do at training. I don't tell anyone, as I still feel a bit wierd and like people would look at me and think "what's the point of that fatty training." But I've never felt better in my heart and my head. THE best money I've ever spent, even though it's incredibly self indulgent.

Parky04 · 04/07/2021 11:16

Laser eye surgery. Nothing else comes remotely close!

mam0918 · 04/07/2021 11:19

My IVF - wish I could have done it sooner.

Honestly I wish it had been free (like pregnancy is suppose to be) but the child I got and the end to a decade of TTC mental hell was definately worth it.

colouringindoors · 04/07/2021 11:20

the several hundred to have the moving company pack when we moved house. They were so fast and Nothing broke during the move.

the 300 on a big trampoline for the garden. has had soooo much use, amazing value for money.

Good for you.

I went back to tennis many years ago when all of my children were finally in school and had private tennis lessons for a long time.
Self indulgent I suppose but they helped me return to a game I loved as a girl and I am still playing and was able to play with my children, and still do.
Money well spent.

Meruem · 04/07/2021 11:21

My two cats, they make me happy every day.
Jacuzzi bath mat. I love a bath and I love it even more now. So relaxing.
Bean to cup coffee machine. Drinking a good coffee is my favourite part of the morning. Plus I never buy takeaway coffees anymore so save ££.

AlaskaThunderfuckHiiiiiiiii · 04/07/2021 11:25

Emma mattress, so comfortable and no sore back!

Linen bundle pillows and duvet, expensive but worth it

PatsyJStone · 04/07/2021 11:26

An epilady over 25 years ago, hardly have any hair now on my legs.

Super king bed, sleep is so important and more room makes it so good.

Electric toothbrush, never need to see the hygienist, my dentist is always impressed with my teeth. But you’ve got to use it properly, not like a normal toothbrush.

Iwantcauliflowercheese · 04/07/2021 11:29

Cordless Dyson
Neff induction hob
Internal window shutters which let in the light, but stop people standing on the pavement outside and staring in.
My Ergoflex mattress cradles every bone in my spine and has made a huge difference to pain.

HarrietHairbrush · 04/07/2021 11:29

@Scaredycat87

Don’t have sparkling water Worse for your teeth than sweets As my dentist said

Me? My robo vac. No hesitation

Gosh really?

Our house in Scotland we live in a tiny very peaceful village by the sea, from all our windows we have fantastic views of the ever changing surrounding hills and/or the sea, I often walk up to the beach before or after work particularly after a stressful day nothing beats it.

When we did it we didn't know if we were doing the right thing now I wish we'd done it years ago.

RosesAndHellebores · 04/07/2021 11:32

Packers when we moved.
Hotel for the first night - proved essential as there was a delay with one of the bank transfers and we didn't get the keys until 4pm.

Private psychiatrist when CAMHS refused to help my dad who was depressed and self harming.

My house. Moving here has been life-changing. I really struggled to pull everything together and it took every penny I had and more but I am so happy here that it was worth it.

LindaEllen · 04/07/2021 11:43

My new kitchen.

When we got this house it had an old fashioned 70s kitchen and was just impractical in every way. We had this one designed for us and it's just perfect for everything we want. I love it. I take joy in cooking whereas before I was a ready meal/oven chips kind of girl.

Second up is the garden .. but that's not finished completely yet, they're still working on it.

RoobyMyrtle · 04/07/2021 11:46

My greenhouse. It's gorgeous, massive and pretty fancy. It's helped me grow my own veg more successfully (previously bad weather and squirrels destroyed everything) and every day feels like a holiday when I sit in it 🥰

Pearbear · 04/07/2021 11:49

My Otty mattress and pillow. My sleep has improved so much since getting it.

JudgeRindersMinder · 04/07/2021 11:53

Packers when we moved too-made the whole thing completely stress free

MrsWidgerysLodger · 04/07/2021 11:53

Cordless dyson for sure. So much easier to whizz it round on a daily basis. Kallax storage for DDs toys. We have fabric baskets that match the decor of our lounge and it's SO much more relaxing of an evening to have all her stuff stashed away and the room looking nice. My DH bought me a bloom and wild sub and I love having fresh flowers in the house all the time too!
