Interesting to see that he mentions the kids but not the wife.

Agree some of the mistakes he made it was clear he didn't even read it through.

That said Boris Johnson could have done with a further proof as well

Frying pans and fires have sprung to mind. Good riddance to Hancock but what fresh hell awaits us? Every bloody possibility makes me shudder.

I've got no time for any of this bunch and I think Hancock has been a complete idiot to have done this, and to have got caught, not to mention the fiasco of the last 15 months.

But I also can't stand the way that so many others have also done similar, or worse, and yet they've just brushed everything under the carpet and carried on regardless.

Apparently he knew the story was going to break the night before, and told Martha then that their marriage was over.

His behaviour has been absolutely unacceptable but it is odd that Dominic Cummings so clearly wanted him out a week or two ago and then these very clear cctv pictures appear and now he’s gone. I feel it’s likely we’re being manipulated.

Strange how a Cabinet Minister can be relatively easily removed, but it's much more difficult to get rid of a Prime Minister.

I just told DH who said: "Are we going to get a saint in his place or something?".

Just someone who can follow the rules he sets for everyone, don't think that needs a saint.

Maybe the next one will wear the carers badge occasionally, I think Hancock wore it once, the day he announced it.

What concerns me is this appears to have been engineered by Cummings, given his unsuccessful attack on Hancock two weeks ago, which means cabinet membership is being dictated by someone without even a veneer of electoral accountability. We have no idea who he's working for, or if he's just in it for himself and the LOLs.

I don't remember there being this much fuss when the John Major/Edwina Currie was discovered! Neither resigned.
