I adore a plain, beautifully cooked and seasoned omelette. At most with a few chopped herbs but cooked on its own is fine. Served with a green salad - something like fresh little gem lettuce leaves or pea shoots - dressed lightly with lemon and olive oil.

Jacket potato, Lurpak and lots of freshly ground black pepper 😋

Wombats12 · 13/06/2021 16:30

Poached eggs on toast.

I now have chickens for the eggs & have gone on baking courses...

Thanks lovely mn. Came out of an absolutely awful migraine earlier. Just had an absolutely wonderful sliced egg Mayo and tomato on soft white. Perfect.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 13/06/2021 17:00

Ive got one too - must be the sun.

MrsCrosbyNRTB · 13/06/2021 17:00

Poached eggs on white crusty buttered toast with crispy hash browns on the side. Carb heaven lushness

Or.

A tub of carte d’or salted caramel ice cream and a spoon.

HeronLanyon · 13/06/2021 17:02

toffee interesting. Yet again reading about triggers I noticed (yet again) ‘weather changes’ and think I’ve noticed that before. Only get maybe 5 a year but boy they’re awful. Support.

Alannawhorideslikeaman · 13/06/2021 17:40

Caprese salad. Dreamy.
Poached eggs on toast.
Greek salad
Pave bread, a lump of cheddar and some fresh tomatoes.

Gorgeouslilgirl · 13/06/2021 17:52

Cold watermelon on a hot day with a hint of sheep’s cheese

Cherries and peaches kissed by the sun. They don’t need any dressing. But delicious in a simple crumble too

Whatapalavaa · 13/06/2021 18:30

Spaghetti, prawns, garlic, lemon, chilli, olive oil and a good sprinkle of rock salt.

Baked camembert and warm crunchy bread

@Sometimesfraught82 'Is that a surprise to you?'
My comment was in response to a previous poster saying some people's meals were stretching the word simple.Hmm

Bloodybridget · 14/06/2021 07:42

Avocado mashed with lemon juice, chilli flakes, salt and pepper on sourdough toast. For extra deliciousness, some fried chorizo.

Bluesheep8 · 14/06/2021 07:43

Egg and chips.

PennineWayinSlingbacks · 14/06/2021 07:52

Poached eggs on toast - lots of butter

uncomfortablydumb53 · 14/06/2021 14:16

Fresh baguette and creamy Brie
Portobello mushroom filled with blue cheese and topped with breadcrumbs

FaceyRomford · 14/06/2021 14:29

Corned beef hash. Food of the Gods (but only if you use enough Worcester Sauce).

HarrisMcCoo · 14/06/2021 19:49

Spaghetti carbonara

KateF · 14/06/2021 20:12

Fresh berries, Greek yogurt and honey
Wholemeal toast and proper salted butter

toffeebutterpopcorn · 14/06/2021 20:14

Not all together I hope! I do love a ‘healthy’ cranachan (Greek yoghurt, honey and raspberries with toasted oats.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 14/06/2021 20:15

Actually - bread and butter. Good old whole meal, lumpy bread with a crunchy crust and lightly salted butter.

Marguerite2000 · 14/06/2021 20:18

Toast and marmite. Got to be white sliced bread, even though I prefer wholemeal for everything else.
A jam sandwich.

DeRigueurMortis · 14/06/2021 20:19

A buffalo mozzarella salad with tomatoes and avocados, dressed with salt/pepper and some good quality extra Virgin oil oil.

Has to be one of my all time favourite meals.

Simple, easy and delicious.

(Only downside with something so simple is that all the ingredients have to be really good quality and in their prime).

BeaLola · 14/06/2021 20:21

Grilled garlic king prawns

Prawn @ tomato sandwich

When I was in Rome many years ago for lunch I went to a very small restaurant - sort of place where they have no menu, are tucked away in a back street & you get given the dish of the day - it was a lemon linguine - it was the most sublime pasta dish I've ever had, I've never been able to recreate it and I've never had any pasta like it again - it was gorgeous

Bjarnum · 14/06/2021 20:29

Baked camenbert with caramelised onion and sourdough toast!

spacegirl123 · 14/06/2021 20:33

Potato waffles 😂
