Which simple, simple dish do you love?

I adore a plain, beautifully cooked and seasoned omelette. At most with a few chopped herbs but cooked on its own is fine. Served with a green salad - something like fresh little gem lettuce leaves or pea shoots - dressed lightly with lemon and olive oil.

Tomato & Mozzarella salad with some olive oil, basil and lashings of black pepper.

My ultimate (technically) no cook is Cheese on toast.

I luv allll the cheeses. ❤️

Courgette. Spiralised into ‘pasta’ and warmed up with some fried broccoli and cherry tomatoes, adding a pinch of salt and pepper, a little chilli.

Takes 5 minutes and it’s just my favourite food ever.

Caprese salad with plenty of salt and pepper and some balsamic vinegar

Watercress, beetroot, goat cheese, walnuts, olive oil & balsamic

Crusty white bread sandwich of sliced roast ham with salted butter.

Fried egg, oven chips, tinned whole tomatoes and a splodge of brown sauce.
I'll get me coat....

Pasta and marmite.

Jacket potato with salt and pepper.

Mushrooms on toast with garlic and parsley

Spaghetti carbonara done the proper Italian way.

Cheese and pickle sandwich

Egg Mayo sandwich made with a mix of Mayo and salad cream and lots of cress.

pasta all'arrabiata - just tomatoes, red peppers, chilli and garlic slow cooked down and tossed in penne.

Thai green chicken curry. It is easier to make than bolognese or chilli and a lot quicker.

Like a pp, I love cheese.

Thanh Long style garlic noodles. Basically just fresh garlic, butter and spag/noodles. Takes 10 minutes tops.

Or a huge hunk of baguette with butter and sweet chili ham.

Scrambled eggs on toast. They have to be cooked in butter. Add spring onions. Black pepper. Mmm.
