@Worldgonecrazy

Not sure if it works for young growing boobs, but I used the mumsnet bra measuring method. Measure under the bust, this is your band size, no adding whatever if it’s odd or even. Lean forward and measure around the boobs. The difference is your cup size.

Bras will feel tight for a few days but I get a much better fit using this method.

Might be worth a try.

That's the method I used. Well, the shops all had their changing rooms closed so have had to buy a selection then will have to trek back and return the ones that don't fit. It's so frustrating! She measured just under 28" under bust so went for those, however, it seems M&S size their bras to fit their add inches on system now as it's not actually possible to make the two end meet let alone fasten them!! I did buy some 30s as well fortunately and they see, better although I'm not convinced they're a perfect fit. I can't keep buying more and more then having the hassle of returning and waiting for the money to go back in! So sick of all this, but hey, we've probably saved thousands of lives from getting Covid from bras, that well known transmission source 🙄🙄

@BIoodyStupidJohnson

Hello everyone. Flowers Brew Cake and Wine for all and a Star for Curly's gorgeous tortoise.

I've not been around much lately due to house move and just trying to train my mind to think about things NotCovid. (It hasn't really worked.)

justasking that is so sad, your poor grandson. That handwash can't have tasted very nice. Schools making kids feel dirty and bad at a fundamental level is a bit of a hobby horse for me I had a dreadful first primary teacher who made me (and others) feel like we'd constantly done something wrong so that one really resonates.

Thank you. She's pretty cute. She's actually an Indian Star tortoise, so the star is particularly appropriate.
BogRollBOGOF · 12/06/2021 13:48

I've got a 29" back and a bit out front. I used to wear 32Bs comfortably but going down the back and up the cup means that I've found some little bussoms Grin The challenge is finding 30C/D ish bras. Annoying as my top half is a pretty mainstream size 8 (it's below my waist that does the hoarding!)

I often go bra-less in hot weather. It's more that there's no definition for me. I'm ok on jiggle until I run.

Although I did once run an 8 mile race after forgetting to pack a sports bra!

Can I be super cheeky and ask if there is anyone here involved in Grassroots/kids football? I've a few questions if there's anyone I can PM?

MrsDeaconClaybourne · 12/06/2021 20:33

DH coaches DS's team Livin I can ask...

LivinLaVidaLoki · 13/06/2021 06:42

Thanks @MrsDeaconClaybourne

Will pm you.

Just seen a thread over there where someone who was outdoors with someone last week who tested positive, is being urged to get tested despite having no symptoms.

I so badly want to post "welcome to Britain 2021, where we test the healthy but have stopped treating the sick"

But I'd probably get banned.

LivinLaVidaLoki · 13/06/2021 07:35

Was also thinking about the foreign travel debacle last night. So, apparently Dominic Raab and Grant Shapps both wanted the green list expanded as recommended by the biosecurity people as was speculated in the press and it was blocked by Wanksock.
I reckon that not only has he gone a bit power mad, but he is being enabled to do so because he's being set up to be the fall guy. The more stupid shit he does, the easier that set up will be.....

BogRollBOGOF · 13/06/2021 07:48

I'm just hoping we get to visit an elderly relative as planned at the start of the school holidays. She's reached the stage of falling in her home (which is as independent living proof as possible). We'd be mugs if we assumed that we've got bountiful annual visits ahead.
We've got a cabin on the ferry booked. Accomodation. PCRs x4 will be a significant extra cost.
She's currently having medical treatment. If she's not back home, DH only will be able to see her through all the hoops of carehome/ hospital restrictions.

When she was ill a few years ago, he couple hop on a plane for the weekend as needed.

When family shared a photo at Christmas, you could see the rapid physical decline aggravated by 9m of only shuffling around the house and not pottering around the village or garden centre.

I hate the pathetic, soggy sponges sitting around sacrificing nothing as they lap up their "quiet life" and demanding more lockdown where everyone else suffers the consequences.

@BogRollBOGOF I hope you get to go.

I know what you mean about the sponges. The latest is that “things are mostly normal anyway so what’s another few weeks just to be safe?” In what world could you say things are in any way normal? I just don’t understand them

It'd because nothing much has changed for them and they are incapable of actually putting themselves in other shoes and realising that it's still shit for lots of people and businesses.

LivinLaVidaLoki · 13/06/2021 09:00

I hope you get to visit @BogRollBOGOF

I feel the same @WouldBeGood I can't go out to eat without ordering on an app from a restricted menu having had to pre book a slot. Have pre booked slots at the gym, half the classes aren't running can't see my GP face to face, haven't seen many of my work colleagues in a year because of restrictions on office space, got a brother in a care home not seen in a year and if I go see him now I can't take him out I've to sit in a fucking bubble.

And that's before you factor in masks and constant testing.

I feel absolutely zero sympathy for Wanksock. He has choices and will reap the consequences. Funny thing, actively ruining people's lives might make them angry with you.

I hope you get to go @BogRollBOGOF.

Do any of you ever worry that by just trying to keep on, you are somehow accepting that this is forever? I do.

And, because there is good news even now, DS finished his first week at his new school, did really well, and has already got some new friends whose parents are definitely not Dementors.

LivinLaVidaLoki · 13/06/2021 09:26

The other thing I find crazy about foreign travel is, Greece have been open to tourists (Dutch and I think German too) since mid May. Yet their infections are still falling. So surely the safety protocols they have in place there are working?

CruCru · 13/06/2021 14:15

@Pleasenomoreglitter

Anyone braved shops recently and seen if any more changing rooms have opened? Need to take dd shopping for first proper bras and really that needs lots of trying on to get it right. Have already prepped her we might end up buying, going to toilets to try on then returning what doesn't fit. What a rubbish experience though for her!
I booked a slot at Rigby and Peller and could try the bras on. Quite expensive though.
Evenstar · 13/06/2021 18:45

@ISaySteadyOn great news about DS’s new school 💐

MercyBooth · 13/06/2021 19:14

My theory is they are now frightened of the NHS backlog caused by the lockdowns. So they dont want anyone taking up an NHS bed for any reason if possible. So the continuation of restrictions is to deal with the backlog caused by restrictions. Because the backlog PLUS Covid patients just cant be done. So they are panicking that cases equal hospitilisations.

Matt Hancock makes it very clear he wants compulsory vaccination for all children and thinks the public back it.

I don’t think they will, he should ask us.

I was on a Teams with him 3 months ago. He strongly believes he is the saviour of the nation. Actually saying the only reason Ferguson’s numbers didn’t come to fruition, is due to his swift actions. Apparently, the nation backs vaccinating all. He’s a delusional narcissist.

MercyBooth · 13/06/2021 19:35

DD has suddenly discovered she likes shopping (preteen!) so we have been out quite a bit. Local New Look and River Island changing rooms open yesterday. I know not useful for bra shopping but a good sign anyway. I actually hate trying stuff on - would mich rather try at home and take back or order online! Still gave me a small moment of joy to see them open. One of the assistants in RI actively encouraged someone to go and try something after she'd asked about returns.

Lostinacloud · 13/06/2021 22:14

I’ve seen 2 really interesting graphs tonight.

So the first one tracks covid deaths in England and Wales just for 2 spring seasons (so doesn’t include the apparent January spike this year) but it does cover spring for 2020 and 2021. The poster remarked that 2020 we had no masks or vaccine and yet 2021 follows an almost identical pattern. The poster then rather sarcastically stated that it’s almost like it’s seasonal and follows over 50 years of researched world flu/respiratory virus seasons and posted the 2nd graph.

I’ve never seen that second graph before but can you guess what latitude India is on? Yep, the North temperate. And when did we start being bombarded with horror scenes of busy hospitals in India? Right at the start and through the middle of their known peak respiratory virus season!!

It’s all out there to piece together but my goodness, we are absolutely being taken for a ride here!

Lostinacloud · 13/06/2021 22:15

Sorry, India is on the north tropical latitude Blush

WouldBeGood · 13/06/2021 22:27

So, the leak is four more weeks…

Lostinacloud · 13/06/2021 23:04

Yes, just 4 more weeks…..that’ll be all it is Hmm.

I wonder, will it be another new variant or schools going back that causes the next, just 4 more weeks after a summer of unreasonably restricted travel?

WouldBeGood · 13/06/2021 23:06

Yep. New variant; must vaccinate all children; autumn; winter; everyone must get boosters…
