@Bagelsandbrie

Everyone is so healthy!

Wow.

I have been having 3 homemade pancakes with golden syrup the last few days. Grin

If it’s not that it’s usually toast and marmalade or ready brek.

In the essence of truth, my healthy porridge is weekdays. At the weekend we have breakfast cake.
PurBal · 28/04/2021 08:58

Weekday:
Porridge
Weetabix with raisins
Banana sandwich
Overnight oats with fruit
Weekend:
Hot smoked salmon and scrambled on a bagel
Smoked salmon and poached egg on toast (sometimes with cherry tomatoes / avocado)
Fried egg, bacon and avocado sandwich
Quesadilla

I make my own museli. I have a massive tupperware that I add oats, fruit, flaxseed and linseed mixes from Aldi, granola, dessicated coconut and chocolate chips. I have it with kefir and milk.

OutspokenNotThatFunny · 28/04/2021 09:49

Today I had choc biscuits... They were there they were saying 'eat me' rude not to.

Normally just cereal or toast as mornings are too hectic.

Bluesheep8 · 28/04/2021 10:58

40g porridge made with half skimmed milk and half water

You posted before I posted about coffee and chocolate. Grin

I've started doing a cooked breakfast for the DCs as they are both terribly slim. (I however am not slim).

So for them I alternate between homemade sausage and egg mcmuffins;
-toast and baked beans
-toast and eggs

and I eat the leftovers. Then I often get supermarket sushi on the way to work as a second breakfast.

I am trying to be healthier though and today had a weetabix, greek yoghurt, fruit, pumpkin seeds and a teaspoon of honey.

Lyricallie · 28/04/2021 13:52

Gosh so many healthy breakfasts! I usually just wait until lunch as I'm not hungry until then. However on hungry days I'll usually just have a cereal bar, I like the peanut nature valley ones. Oh and some toast with spicy cathedral city cream cheese, that's pretty good.

At weekends though, things like eggs on avocado toast, shahshuka, omlettes with as many mushrooms I can fit in it. Then when I stay at my mum's for a visit (remember those times) it was roll, tattie scone and fried egg. Potentially square sausage. I miss proper breakfast rolls!

flyingant · 28/04/2021 14:01

I usually have eggs or smoked salmon with mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach. If it's before of after exercise, then I add wholemeal toast and marmite.

@Chemenger what is half-caf coffee?

Terrysmyorange · 28/04/2021 14:13

Weekday: protein shake and low fat Greek yogurt

Weekend: poached eggs, smoked salmon and guacamole

Frymetothemoon · 28/04/2021 14:18

2 tablespoons of no added sugar granola
3 tablespoons of Greek yoghurt
water

I have reactive hypoglycemia and have to be careful of sugar, so no juice, but the protein in the Greek yoghurt is good

VeganVeal · 28/04/2021 16:26

Fried egg, sausage, bacon and fried bread, ummm

Lifeisnotadressrehearsal7 · 28/04/2021 19:03

I love fried bread! When you order a full English, hardly anyone offers it but it’s soooo good!

CheesePleaseLoueese · 28/04/2021 19:03
@CheesePleaseLoueese my dad found a load of marmite XO in his local small sainsburys and bought me 4 jars. He said he felt like a drug smuggler
Ah, I wish I knew your dad!

Divineswirls · 28/04/2021 19:09

At the moment it's 2 fried eggs on a slice of plain toasted sourdough that I keep in the freezer.

Constance11 · 28/04/2021 19:11

I have the same thing everyday - freshly made egg mayo with 3 oatcakes. Keeps me full until late afternoon :)

Goldenphoenix · 28/04/2021 20:26

Full fat Greek yogurt with cherries, blueberries, raspberries (frozen fruit is brilliant for this) topped with homemade granola.

feelinggeriatric · 28/04/2021 20:33

@CheesePleaseLoueese Ocado has marmite, I've been getting a jar weekly, shall I set up an Etsy marmite shop?

feelinggeriatric · 28/04/2021 20:35

Oops just looked and it's oos! And to think I deleted my jar for this week as thought I'd safely stockpiled enough! It does come back in and out I think tho, worth keeping an eye ...

Scbchl · 28/04/2021 20:45

Toast a brown sandwhich thin and have a slice of turkey breast in it. Cup of tea and a piece of fruit.

Seventrees · 28/04/2021 21:02

Porridge or homemade Bircher muesli. With fruit, nuts, yoghurt, honey, etc.

B1rdflyinghigh · 28/04/2021 22:56

7am - coffee and a cigarette
9.30-10am - banana and pear.

bluechameleon · 28/04/2021 22:59

Porridge. I mash half a banana and add half a cup of oats and 3/4 of a cup of milk and microwave it. My 3 year old has a couple of spoonfuls and I have the rest. Then I add fruit, either frozen, fresh or tinned. The most filling combo is tinned pears and a teaspoon of peanut butter.

Megan2018 · 28/04/2021 23:06

A huge bowl of Muesli - a no added sugar one with greek yoghurt (full fat). I love it and it keeps me going, not low calorie but has lots of good stuff in and the full fat yoghurt is filling.

Weekends I like scrambled eggs on toast.
