Looking for new ideas! What do you have that is filling?

OP posts:
Paleodiet · 27/04/2021 22:57

A three egg omelette and a banana. If I need something more, natural yogurt.

Passthecake30 · 27/04/2021 22:58

Shredded wheat, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sultanas, a banana, a tsp of ground flax seeds (keeps me regular!) and soya milk at 7.30.

Then toast and hot choc at 10Blush

Puttheneedleontheraquet · 27/04/2021 22:59

Oats with blueberries

Bran flakes & fruit (not together in bowl)

Toast with egg

Weekends-maybe croissant with cheese, pancakes

Irishgal20 · 27/04/2021 23:04

I don’t always have breakfast but like to start with at least one cup of tea, since working from home more like two.

Then depending on how I feel will have:
-smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, granary toast, sometimes with mushrooms and avocado
-avocado on granary toast
-hard boiled egg with any toast
-bacon sandwich/roll/baguette
-weetabix with s/s milk, natural or Greek yogurt, granola and whichever fruit I have, maybe banana and berries
-pink grapefruit
-toast with either marmite or strawberry jam
-crumpets with butter and dairylea
-almond croissant (fresh from Tesco) and a latte

FinallyFluid · 27/04/2021 23:06

Black coffee and a square of dark chocolate.

AlwaysLatte · 27/04/2021 23:07

A variety of things - poached egg on smashed avocado on toast with Tabasco and basil, or mackerel fillets on toast. Or poached egg with grilled vine tomatoes. Sundays we often have a pancake brunch with crispy bacon and maple syrup. Always lots of coffee and orange juice.

Janedownourlane · 27/04/2021 23:09

One weetabix with milk, half a banana chopped or rhubarb if we have it. Coffee.

Workyticket · 27/04/2021 23:10

2 hard boiled eggs is my go to at the minute. Eaten at my desk - my colleague throws paper clips at me while I eat them sometimes 😅

fruitpastille · 27/04/2021 23:13

Favourite is 2 slices peanut butter on toast
Or 2 crumpets with butter

Currently have either bowl of aldi high protein granola or smoothie made with berries, spinach and Greek yoghurt.

And 1-2 mugs of tea.

I'm hungry again within 3 hrs either way.

42isthemeaning · 27/04/2021 23:26

All bran mixed with prunes, milled linseed & walnuts. I pour over some apple juice.

JustMeAndWheatley · 27/04/2021 23:30

Dorset muesli with some combination of raspberries, blackberries and banana. Almost every day. On the rare occasions I don’t I get hungry and snack in the morning.

Jumpingintosummer · 27/04/2021 23:44

Mon-Fri it’s a mix of the following
Protein smoothie.
Greek yogurt, nutty low sugar granola and warmed frozen morello cherries.
Scrambled egg and wm toast.

Weekend more brunch as like a longer lie in the morning.
French toast and bacon.
Bacon sandwich.
Pancakes.
Poached egg, avocado and toast.
Occasionally a full Scottish breakfast if we go out Wink

MouseholeCat · 28/04/2021 01:49

Greek yogurt with berries, oats and sliced almonds. And a black coffee!

BorderlineHappy · 28/04/2021 06:38

Usually weetabix with oat milk, berries and some cinnamon or peanut butter.
Eggs with advocado
I did make almond pancakes they where ok wouldn't be in a rush to eat them again.

Mammymar · 28/04/2021 07:04

I usually don't have breakfast until 11 am and either have two soft boiled eggs with homemade brown bread or a mushroom omelette with tomatoes on the side.

DrWankincense · 28/04/2021 07:13

Any of..
Toast
Potato scones toasted
Yoghurt with berries and seeds.
Eggs in some form
Croissant
Bagel
Sunday fry up - usual but definitely no beans 🤢

DinosApple · 28/04/2021 07:18

My mum arrived at the weekend having made a big batch of sambar (south Indian lentil and vegetable stew). If I'd have been at hers we'd have had idlis too which are common for breakfast where she's from too.

It makes cereal for breakfast feel a bit rubbish, so for me it is proper cooked food (usually English unless mum visits) or its just a cup of tea!

MrsJBaptiste · 28/04/2021 07:28

@FunTimes2020 I used to have 2 eggs every day for breakfast so yes, 14 eggs a week which is quite a few when you think about it!

envi · 28/04/2021 07:32

Oatmeal with strawberries and coconut flakes 😇 yum!

Lifeisnotadressrehearsal7 · 28/04/2021 07:39

Beans on wholemeal toast is filling.
Bacon & eggs with toast
Cinnamon & raisin bagel with a banana
Avocado on toast
I find lots of cereals don’t keep me full eg Cornflakes, Rice Krispies but Weetabix with warm milk & honey is good. Sometimes I add fresh raspberries.

chillychicken · 28/04/2021 07:47

Weekdays

  • Poached egg on toast
  • poached egg with spinach and mushrooms
  • cornflakes, Apple, orange
  • 2 slices of marmite on toast

Weekends
Always a protein shake before I go to the gym
Once home I have a clear whey protein shake and then have brunch - either a bacon sandwich or poached egg, spinach, mushrooms and chicken sausages.

Stormwhale · 28/04/2021 07:56

I'm calorie counting, so try to keep breakfast small.

2 boiled eggs
One piece of wholemeal toast with peanut butter.
Small portion of porridge made with oatmilk and raisins.

I cant face fresh fruit in the morning, really not sure why, but it turns my stomach.

Lifeisnotadressrehearsal7 · 28/04/2021 07:58

You used to be able to buy creamed mushrooms in a tin which were nice on toast.
Sardines on toast
I like cold leftovers eg pizza, Chinese or Indian.
As kids we had pork pie for breakfast on Christmas Day

JuicyMcJuiceFace · 28/04/2021 08:31

Always about the same ... 200g of Total Greek yogurt with chia seeds, a little protein powered stirred through, berries and half a banana chopped in.

bishbashbosh99 · 28/04/2021 08:37

@Youdontknowwhatyoureonabout yours makes me lol
