Looking for new ideas! What do you have that is filling?

Smoothie made of:
Fresh pineapple
Raspberries
Banana
Frozen blueberries (mix of some of the above depending on what we have in)
Kefir
Liquid vitamin c
Apple cider vinegar
Fruit juice

And a piece of toast and jam if I'm hungry.

Or if I'm in a rush I have a yoghurt with some granola stirred in at my desk at work.

Bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes or fruit n fibre or a green smoothie. Smoothie when I'm being good, cereal when I'm not.

Full English once in a blue moon.

AgeLikeWine · 27/04/2021 22:01

On weekdays, weetabix or porridge with some fruit. At weekends, bacon & egg or sausage sandwiches or an omelette. Pretty boring, I know, but I'm not a morning person so creativity before midday isn’t happening.

partyatthepalace · 27/04/2021 22:04

Porridge - 2 scoops (40g)
Half cup of milk
Microwave for 2 mins
Add quarter cup of yogurt and a dash of kefir
Berries or a small apple

  • Tablespoon of peanut butter if v hungry

Will make a seasonal swap to Bircher in a bit. Such an exciting life Grin

partyatthepalace · 27/04/2021 22:04

Oh jumbo oats - that is KEY

Zazazaz · 27/04/2021 22:08

Food wise, nothing until midday when it's scrambled eggs. Before then, cups of tea.

Weekdays normally 0% Greek yoghurt (Fage is lovely) or natural yoghurt with frozen raspberries. Either on its own or with oats (left over night) or a high protein muesli. Sometimes with a drizzle of honey or something. Some times add chopped banana but essentially it's the same thing really.

At the weekend I tend to have several boiled eggs and quorn ham, maybe some beans or crackerbread. I love bagels, crumpets, toast, peanut butter etc but I can't do them sparingly.

Im looking at moving to smoothies and things because time is often against me and although I can always eat and do! It would be good to have something easy I could have a bit later on at work.

Toast. With a desperate scraping of peanut butter...

I am so over peanut butter. I just want Marmite to return to our shelves. I long for it.

WHERE IS EVERYONE UPTHREAD GETTING THEIR SUPPLY OF BLOODY MARMITE?!!

I’ve got an unopened jar in the cupboard. A big one. Should I put it on eBay? Grin

Any opening bids?

Bumblebee1980a · 27/04/2021 22:21

Raspberries and blueberries with lots of full fat Greek yogurt. It's like a dessert. 😋

I change the fruit - bananas, cut an orange up, add melon.

3CCC · 27/04/2021 22:22

During the week Activia yoghurt

Saturday normally fruit or toast

Sunday scrambled egg

wingsnthat · 27/04/2021 22:24

Oxygen lol

Going to trawl through all the recommendations Blush

Tethersend01 · 27/04/2021 22:26

Blimey all these healthy breakfasts!
I eat a large (usually blueberry) muffin and tea ir sometimes a pain au choc or croissant.
I need to start the day on the right note feeling satisfied then i est less the rest of the day!

SkankingMopoke · 27/04/2021 22:39

I usually have toasted olive sourdough with hummus and/or cheese and a glass of fruit juice. If I fancy a change, I might have a crumpet with marmite or banana and honey on toast.

To the PP asking about Marmite: We have 1.5 catering-sized tubs currently stashed in our cupboard, bought from Costco. I knew it had been in short supply so stocked up just before Christmas when I saw it. We get through a lot of it, although not as much as we do cashew butter (DD1's expensive obsession).

QueenPaw · 27/04/2021 22:40

@ShinySquirrel thank god I'm not a complete weirdo
I have cottage cheese or egg mayo on marmite rice cakes
Due to the FUCKING marmite shortage I had to have cottage cheese and everything bagel seasoning on corn thins today

QueenPaw · 27/04/2021 22:42

@CheesePleaseLoueese my dad found a load of marmite XO in his local small sainsburys and bought me 4 jars. He said he felt like a drug smuggler

AlexaRain · 27/04/2021 22:44

I have home made muesli (Hairy Dieters recipe), with semi skim or sugar free yogurt. Sometimes I put some chopped fruit on top.

I'm really into a breakfast burrito/ burrito bowl if I'm low carbing. Veggie chilli (if you're feeling lazy Tesco tinned Taco beans will do) with a quarter of avocado, a poached egg and a bit of grated cheese. (In a tortilla wrap).

dj14 · 27/04/2021 22:44

This morning was a can of red coke and 2 Mars bars. Woke up really sleepy and needed a sugar rush

Normally I have weetabix and berries, a salmon and cream cheese bagel or pilchards on toast x

Mumof3girlsandaboy · 27/04/2021 22:46

A bowl of special K original
1 large mag of chai tea

Disneyblue · 27/04/2021 22:51

Toast.

This thread is like reading Orlando Bloom's 'my typical day' article all over again.

Green smoothie or poached egg? Who can be arsed?

miltonj · 27/04/2021 22:52

Peanut but on white toast.

I've just stated getting pics peanut butter it's pricey (£4) Blush but so bloody good

HopingForOurRainbowBaby · 27/04/2021 22:53

If I'm at work and I don't have a break until 13:10 or 14:15 I manage with just a fag and maybe a coffee if I have time for one. If I have a morning break around 10:30-11ish I'll maybe have a couple of dippy eggs and soldiers if I've got eggs in, if not a slice of toast or something. If I have a significant morning break and don't come back out until just before I go back off for dinner I'll maybe have my dinner during the morning break and use my actual dinner break to sleep. Days off I can't really class anything as breakfast when I don't get up until mid morning. Today it was chips and garlic bread. I also find if I eat breakfast early on I'm ravenous all morning then. Whereas if I don't I can last out till mid afternoon.

LemonRoses · 27/04/2021 22:54

A mug of tea in bed and the crossword. I don’t like food first thing.

Bagelsandbrie · 27/04/2021 22:57

Everyone is so healthy!

Wow.

I have been having 3 homemade pancakes with golden syrup the last few days. Grin

If it’s not that it’s usually toast and marmalade or ready brek.
