Protein bar or shake during the week as I'm always in a hurry with kids and work weekends is usually wholemeal toast or boiled eggs and coffee sounds so boring actually 🤔 Grin

Breathmiller · 27/04/2021 17:55

Porridge made with water and salt. Sultanas, pumpkin seeds, maple syrup. And whatever fruit i have in. Today was blueberries and strawberries.

Or I have an English toasted muffin with crunchy peanut butter and jam.

bugaboo218 · 27/04/2021 17:56

Weekdays

I have chopped up fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, granola and cherry or raspberry compote with a small glass of chilled orange juice and a glass of water.

Or

Porridge of some sort (baked or overnight oats) topped with fruit or berries and chia seeds.

Saturday

Banana bread or banana pancakes with date butter and fresh fruit. Coffee or tea.

Sunday

Breakfast Bap or omelette with roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, kale, sausage and bacon. Bowl of sugar laden cereal like coco pops and sometimes a pop tart thing too or pain au chocolat. Tea or coffee.

Sunday is a treat breakfast.

Greek yoghurt with muesli, berries, pumpkin seeds and honey.

Or, if I can be arsed, avocado with poached eggs and chilli on sourdough. Usually with fried tomatoes on the side.

Peanut butter and jam on toast also keeps me full!

Hottesttrikeintown · 27/04/2021 17:59

Avocado and coriander mashed up on a wrap with a poached egg and a bit of grated cheese. Pretty much every morning

itsgettingwierd · 27/04/2021 18:03

Porridge with golden syrup

GF honey nut loops.

Both have equal ish calories but the porridge fills me up until lunch and cereal doesn't!

doctorhamster · 27/04/2021 18:07

Usually a toasted cinnamon and raisin bagel either with peanut butter or just butter. Occasionally porridge with fruit.

JustSaying101 · 27/04/2021 18:10

Following with interest! At the moment I've been having cereal, usually Bran flakes or shredded wheat, semi skimmed milk with a few blueberries thrown on top. Very exciting, I know!

Beamur · 27/04/2021 18:13

Poached egg on toast.
Cereal doesn't fill me up at all..
I need a bit of protein.

lachy · 27/04/2021 18:18

2 coffees, 2 cigarettes.

I'm never ready to eat anything before 10am, at which point I usually have a banana on toast.

woodbeez55 · 27/04/2021 18:25

I alternate between:

Full fat natural yoghurt with seeds from a passion fruit mixed in and a sprinkling of flaked almonds one day

and then on the other days either:

1 Weetabix with s/s milk
1 slice of granary toast with butter and Marmite or jam
Porridge oats with banana slices and a tsp of honey.

I occasionally have a fry up or a mini pain au chocolat at the weekend.

Cindy87 · 27/04/2021 18:28

Overnight oats. The basic mix is porridge oats and oatmilk (or any milk) , I mix them in a jam jar and leave in the fridge overnight and it ends up porridge consistency. I add either honey, lemon and berries or peanut butter and banana. You could add whatever you fancy though - raisins, almonds, grated apple, cinnamon...

Cindy87 · 27/04/2021 18:29

I also like peanut butter and chopped banana on toast, a bagle or a couple of rice cakes

Cowbells · 27/04/2021 18:43

greek yoghurt with a sprinkling of low sugar granola, frozen berries and flaked almonds
greek yoghurt with walnuts, honey and frozen black cherries
home made banana and cinnamon porridge
granary bagel thin with butter, marmite and a poached egg
boiled egg and wholewheat soldiers
home made banana milkshake (one banana chopped, 200ml milk and a teaspoon of unsweetened vanilla essence, blended)
low fat croissant with a spoonful of high fruit jam on Sundays
or a fresh grapefruit or half a small melon

and always at least one big mug of coffee, black, with milk or with frothed milk

DeathMetalMum · 27/04/2021 18:48

Warburton potato cakes with butter and a cup of tea. I have started having two slices of wholemeal toast every so often.

I'd love eggs but they really upset my tummy.

Franklyfrost · 27/04/2021 18:49

1/3 cup amaranth with fruit, seeds and a bucket of coffee

Animum2 · 27/04/2021 19:34

Bran flakes mixed with granola and then 2 slices of toast

AvonCallingBarksdale · 27/04/2021 19:40

  • Greek yoghurt, blueberries, raspberries, chia seeds and a sprinkle of granola
  • cinnamon and raisin bagel
  • porridge with v dark sugar
  • homemade smoothie from frozen mango, blueberries, raspberries, passion fruit, orange, chia seeds

All of the above with a cup of Yorkshire tea Smile

Bookaholic73 · 27/04/2021 19:44

Almost always I have mushrooms and tomatoes on toast, topped with a poached egg and avocado.

It contains carbs (toast), protein (eggs), fat (avocado), plus all the goodness from the veg.

I have it at 10am and it keeps me full til 6pm.

LavendulaAngustifolia · 27/04/2021 19:47

Museli homemade, well homemixed really. It's just oats nuts seeds and some raisins in whatever quanitiy I left in the cupboard.

PaperMonster · 27/04/2021 19:49

One cup of warm water, followed by two coffees followed by a glass of water. Lost my appetite for food in the morning.

WalkingMeAway · 27/04/2021 19:50

I'm not really a breakfast person so nothing out of the ordinary -

Porridge with milk & banana
Muesli with yoghurt
Toast with either butter, jam or peanut butter
Toasted bagel & cream cheese
Pan au chocolate with bananas & strawberries

blowinahoolie · 27/04/2021 19:50

Cup of tea. Two slices of toast with strawberry and rhubarb jam.

ange08 · 27/04/2021 21:44

Coffee and toast

MrsCremuel · 27/04/2021 21:50

Porridge with banana and honey
Or
Special k with strawberries
Or
Greek yoghurt with granola and berries
Or
Whole meal toast with marmite

Used to have 2 boiled eggs with a slice of toast but don’t have the time anymore.
